Works closely with other members of the engineering staff to provide technical solutions to engineering problems.<\/span>\u00b7 The Senior Software Engineer will participate in the creation of design documentation, software code, software unit test plans, and other project artifacts.<\/span>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 Participates, as a member of software project or sub-project team(s), in the development of software applications for product \/ test tools<\/span>\u00b7 Adheres to defined development plans, guidelines, and procedures.<\/span>\u00b7 Generates high-quality work products.<\/span>\u00b7 Translates requirements\/specifications into design, and ultimately software.<\/span>\u00b7 Participates in requirements, design and code reviews as they pertain to software designs.<\/span>\u00b7 Participates in other activities, such as performing hazard and risk analysis, reviews of designs and tests, etc.<\/span>\u00b7 Functions well in a team environment<\/span>\u00b7 Demonstrates good coding practices.<\/span>PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS<\/span>\u00b7 Reports to the Sr. Engineering Supervisor\/Engineering Manager<\/span>\u00b7 Accountable to Project Manager(s) for project-related responsibilities<\/span>\u00b7 Frequent interaction with team members from other disciplines, particularly hardware engineers, to develop project requirements and other project artifacts such as project schedules. Possible interaction with clinicians, third-party vendors, manufacturers, subcontractors and other users.<\/span>Qualifications – Internal<\/span>EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 4-12 years embedded software development experience.<\/span>\u00b7 Hands Experience on C++ 11 and above versions.<\/span>\u00b7 Hands -on experience on QT\/QML<\/span>\u00b7 Hands -on experience on Google test tool for unit testing<\/span>\u00b7 Hands-on experience on operating systems like Linux or Any RTOS.<\/span>\u00b7 Software Development unit testing experience<\/span>\u00b7 Experience in tools like JAMA, STASH\/BITBUCKET\/GIT\/JIRA\/CONFLUENCE\/BAMBOO<\/span>\u00b7 Good knowledge on agile principle and good experience in working in agile environment<\/span>KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY<\/span>\u00b7 Embedded application development and unit testing experience is required.<\/span>\u00b7 Good understanding of multithreading in both, design and implementation<\/span>\u00b7 Experience with projects that require hardware \/software interfacing<\/span>\u00b7 Medical instruments development experience is preferable<\/span>\u00b7 Experience with a documented software development processes or familiarity with FDA and ISO standards like IEC 62304 is a plus<\/span>\u00b7 Good communication skills<\/span>\u00b7 Good team player<\/span>\u00b7 Continue to focus on improvements and brings value to the customers<\/span>EDUCATION<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 Required: – B.E or B.Tech in Computer Sciences, Electronics or Electrical Engineer.<\/span>\u00b7 Preferred: – M.E or M.Tech in Computer Sciences, Electronics or Electrical Engineer.<\/span>SHORT-TERM SUCCESS METRICS (6-12 MONTHS)<\/span>\u00b7 Demonstrate strong analytical, programming and debugging skills<\/span>\u00b7 Demonstrate strong design and development skills<\/span>\u00b7 Demonstrate strong knowledge on tools and technologies<\/span>\u00b7 Establish trusting relationship with the team and other stakeholders<\/span>\u00b7 Demonstrate problem solving capabilities.<\/span>\u00b7 Deliver on project commitments.<\/span>LONG-TERM SUCCESS METRICS (1+ YEAR)<\/span>\u00b7 Learn and demonstrate Product and Domain understanding<\/span>\u00b7 Demonstrate solid understand of Software Development Lifecycle<\/span>\u00b7 Consistently deliver on Project commitments<\/span>#MEICMSJOBS<\/span>Physical Job Requirements<\/b><\/span>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.<\/span>Benefits & Compensation<\/b><\/span>Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package
