If so, this role is for you!<\/span>The Evernorth\u2120Technology strategy is fully aligned with our business strategy, resulting in an opportunity for you to influence in various directions \u2013 this includes technologybusiness direction but also recruiting and mentoring employees and influencing selection of and relationships with vendor resources to ultimately build and contribute within a world class Delivery Vertical.<\/span>We\u2019re looking for a leader that will be responsible for leading a quality engineering group within Core Tech in our Hyderabad Center to deliver on strategic business capabilities as well as modernize the current solution. This role will be responsible for quality engineering in the HIH Center for Core Tech.<\/span>As a QE & Testing Manager, you will build and develop a world-class quality engineering team of 25-50 resources with the goal of creating next-generation capabilities that will help make Cigna the undisputed health partner of choice. You will work in an agile environment leading a team of software engineers and managers, delivering user-oriented products in a fast\u2013paced environment. The resources aligned to this leader will dotted line into our US based quality engineering leads. This role will report to the Core Tech HIH \u2013 Manager (Shared Services).<\/span>Section 3: Responsibilities<\/span>Clearly outline the primary duties and tasks associated with the role. Use action verbs (i.e., lead, drive, analyze, assess, research, etc.) to convey expectations.<\/span>Responsibilities<\/b><\/span>Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to the QA automation and testing teams.Define and execute quality engineering strategies aligned with overall technology and business goals.Drive test automation, continuous integration, and behavior-driven development (BDD) practices.Lead troubleshooting efforts, ensuring rapid resolution of defects and issues.Establish and enforce engineering best practices focused on quality, reliability, reusability, and telemetry.Develop and maintain QA automation roadmaps, ensuring technology currency and ROI-driven improvements.Build strong relationships with Core Tech stakeholders to align testing strategies with application requirements.Develop and implement an effective talent strategy by:Recruiting and retaining top talent.Mentoring and developing engineers into full-stack QA professionals.Fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.Drive modernization initiatives by identifying scalable improvements in tools, technologies, and methodologies.Ensure operational excellence within Agile and DevOps frameworks.Maintain proactive monitoring and management of application assets, ensuring performance, availability, security, and capacity.Optimize testing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and automation adoption across the teams.<\/span>Qualifications<\/b><\/span>Required Skills:<\/b><\/span>Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.Experience managing large, cross-functional QA teams in an Agile environment.Expertise in test design, defect management, and automation framework development.Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Selenium WebDriver, Jenkins, GIT, JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, and BDD frameworks.Advanced knowledge of SQL Server databases and Transact-SQL, including stored procedure analysis.Proven ability to drive large-scale QA and automation testing initiatives for both UI and backend systems.Experience in Healthcare IT with an understanding of industry terminology, processes, and compliance.Proficiency in modern testing methodologies such as Continuous Integration (CI), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and Test-Driven Development (TDD).Strong Agile experience with practical leadership in Scrum teams.<\/span>Required Experience & Education:<\/span>14+ years of experience in software development and test automation.5+ years of management experience, leading and developing technical teams.Experience in vendor management within an onshore\/offshore model.Expertise in architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise testing solutions.Bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Industry certifications such as Scrum Master, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent.<\/span>Desired Experience:<\/b><\/span>Experience with mainframe testing lifecycle.Exposure to cloud-native distributed systems (AWS).Experience of claims adjudication and claims lifecycle in healthcare.Experience coaching and mentoring teams in best practices for QA automation.<\/span>These two sections will be \u201cstandardized\u201d in the JD template and made not editable.<\/span>Location & Hours of Work<\/span>HIH Offshore Hyderabad Office.<\/span>Equal Opportunity Statement<\/b><\/span>Evernorth is an Equal Opportunity Employer actively encouraging and supporting organization-wide involvement of staff in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to educate, inform and advance both internal practices and external work with diverse client populations.<\/span>About Evernorth Health Services<\/span>Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, creates pharmacy, care and benefit solutions to improve health and increase vitality.
