Visit our website to learn more!<\/span>Mission:<\/b><\/span>In collaboration with the Application area manager, you will test and validate relays to ensure that the Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) designed by FANOX function according to specifications and meet market needs.<\/span>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>Relay Validation: Conduct functional testing and analyse records using current\/voltage injectors. Automate protection tests for repetitive procedures.<\/span>Test Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports of performed tests, including results, deviations, and conclusions. Clearly state whether the device is fully validated or requires modifications\/adaptations.<\/span>Technical Documentation: Analyse existing technical manuals describing function features to ensure accurate device testing. Prepare and update technical documentation based on test results as necessary.<\/span>Self-Development: Take responsibility for your own learning and professional growth.<\/span>REQUIRED AND\/OR DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES FOR THE JOB POSITION<\/span>TRAINING<\/b><\/span>Education:<\/b><\/span>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, or Electronics Engineering<\/span>Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (with specialization in Electrical or Control and Automation) preferred<\/span>Language Skills:<\/b><\/span>Advanced level of English proficiency<\/span>Technical Knowledge:<\/b><\/span>Familiarity with ANSI protection function codes<\/span>Experience using current\/voltage injectors (e.g., OMICRON, MEGGER)<\/span>Understanding of network topology for protection relay applications<\/span>EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/span>Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience<\/span>Demonstrable expertise in the field of electrical protection systems<\/span>COMPETENCES<\/b><\/span>Required Skills:<\/b><\/span>Strong decision-making abilities<\/span>Excellent problem-solving skills<\/span>High capacity for learning and adaptability<\/span>Superior communication skills, both verbal and written<\/span>Additional Skills<\/b><\/span>Knowledge in the following areas will be highly valued:<\/span>Communication protocols used in electrical substations:<\/span>Serial Communication: Modbus RTU, DNP3.0 Serial, IEC103<\/span>Ethernet and TCP\/IP: Modbus TCP\/IP, DNP3.0 TCP\/IP<\/span>Remote control protocols: IEC101, IEC104<\/span>IEC61850 standard<\/span>Our Commitment to Embrace Diversity:<\/span>Wabtec is a global company that invests not just in our products, but also our people by embracing diversity and inclusion.
