The individual will operate in all phases and contribute to all activities of the software development process. Candidates must be willing to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment. The Senior Software Engineer frequently interacts with Tech Lead, other developers, V&#038;V engineers, internal partners and stakeholders concerning estimations, design, implementation or requirement clarifications, works closely with global sites.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>A Day in the Life<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, Develop and test Software high integrity software for medical devices.<\/li>\n<li>Learn and understand software standards for Medical devices, ex. IEC62304.<\/li>\n<li>Define and implement software requirements and designs and review software developed by other team members.<\/li>\n<li>Contributes and applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve complex technical problems.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in process improvement initiatives for the software team. This includes recognizing areas for improvement as well as working with others to develop and document process improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate ownership of software feature\/module and drive development of the feature\/module through SDLC.<\/li>\n<li>Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering best practices to junior software engineers.<\/li>\n<li>Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will increase team velocity.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain, improve and design new software tools.<\/li>\n<li>Work under general direction and collaboratively with internal and external partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Must Have<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Job Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8-12 years of relevant work experience in Software development<\/li>\n<li>4+ years experience in creating and\/or consuming RESTful web services<\/li>\n<li>3+ years of experience using Agile methodology<\/li>\n<li>Highly Knowledgeable in Test Driven Development methodologies.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Design patterns such as MVP, MVVM, Clean architecture<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with Azure DevOps, GIT and CI environments.<\/li>\n<li>Experience building secure software<\/li>\n<li>Experience in mobile software development, ex. iOS, Android<\/li>\n<li>Experience in web based technologies, ex. C#.Net,Xamarin Forms ,HTML5, JavaScript, CSS<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio development platforms\/Azure DevOps\/tools<\/li>\n<li>Effectively communicate and operate within a cross-functional work environment. (Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Firmware Development, Software Development, Test Development, Manufacturing)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Must Have<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Minimum Qualification<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Sciences, Bio-Technology, Bio-Medical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a premium institute.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices<\/li>\n<li>Hands on experience in developing implantable System Software components related to data acquisition, Real Time Data processing and data presentation.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in two or more of the following technologies: C, C++, Java, Java Script, HTML, VBScript, C#, .NET, Perl, Python, Objective C, Angular, Xamarin<\/li>\n<li>Experience in one or more of the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, Android and IOS<\/li>\n<li>Experience in developing Firmware and Device Drivers for embedded peripherals.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in developing simulators for simulating implantable device behavior through design patterns and architecture patterns.<\/li>\n<li>Hands on experience in Blue Tooth enabled device communication.<\/li>\n<li>Hands on experience in SVG Graphic based development.<\/li>\n<li>Hands on experience in Mobile Operating System apps development targeted at Class III Medical Systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Principal Working Relationship<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reports to the Engineering Manager<\/li>\n<li>The Senior Software Engineer frequently interacts with Product Owner, Tech Lead, other developers, V&#038;V engineers, internal partners and stakeholders concerning estimations, design, implementation or requirement clarifications, works closely with global sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Nice to Haves<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in software design for medical devices<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated skills in writing engineering documents (specifications, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Experience with configuration management tools<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Open Source development platform\/tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to consistently perform well during times of increased work load<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work on cross-functional project teams comprised of software verification and development engineers, system engineers, human factor engineers and quality engineers.<\/li>\n<li>Design\/test experience working within a regulated environment.<\/li>\n<li>Working Knowledge of DRM, Six-Sigma principles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and\/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals.
