Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Smiths employs approximately 16,000 colleagues in over 50 countries.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct the following activities in accordance with John Crane Drawings, SOP\u2019s and relevant Standards:<\/li>\n<li>Stripping and inspection of mechanical seals.<\/li>\n<li>Assessment and cleaning of seal components.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and Prepare list of components that are required either to be replaced or repaired.<\/li>\n<li>Repair (including face lapping\/polishing) and Assembly of mechanical seals.<\/li>\n<li>Testing of mechanical seals.<\/li>\n<li>Compliance of John Crane QHSE standards &#038; Policies.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining proper housekeeping and carrying out required Preventive Maintenance &#038; Calibrations activities for all workshop equipment and tools where applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with workshop team for meeting customer\u2019s expectations and requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Contribution in lean six sigma activities.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings and component drawings in terms recognizing seal details, components, dimensions, MOC, seal orientation\u2026.etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ Years of proven experience in repairing of wet mechanical seals or related industrial rotating equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated expertise in global corporations and in diverse industrial sectors including but not limited to oil &#038; gas, power, and water sectors.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in using hand tools, measuring instruments, and specialized equipment for seal repair.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with ERP System (SAP or equivalent).<\/li>\n<li>Languages: Fluent English written and spoken.<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills for using ERP system and MS Office.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge about lean six sigma standards and principles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Additional Information<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>With colleagues stretching across the globe, we are proud of our diversity.
