N\u0101ia te p\u014dwhiri n\u0101 Te Whare W\u0101nanga o Waitaha kia tono mai i te t\u016branga nei.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Mahi Ng\u0101tahi | Who You Will Work With<span class=\"br\"><\/span>You will be reporting to the Director of Risk and Assurance and will work closely with a number of key stakeholders across the University. The Risk and Assurance team is a small, dedicated team of subject matter experts in risk, insurance, and assurance that strives to support and improve the effectiveness of the University&#8217;s risk management and controls environment. The Risk and Assurance team is part of the Planning, Finance and Digital Services (PFDS) Department.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u0100u Mahi | What You Will Do<br \/>\n       You will lead the development and delivery of independent, objective audits and advisory services to assess and improve the effectiveness of the University&#8217;s governance, risk management, and control processes.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Key responsibilities will include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing and managing the annual Internal Audit Programme, in conjunction with Internal Audit partners.<\/li>\n<li>Delivering special and\/or ad hoc UC audits and reviews,<\/li>\n<li>Testing of internal controls, risk management, governance, and legislative compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Managing fraud and corruption control policies, processes, and training.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting in-flight and post-implementation reviews of strategic projects.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating audit findings, risks, and recommendations to senior management and governance committees.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> M\u014du | Who You Are<span class=\"br\"><\/span>As someone who thrives on deadlines, you&#8217;ll enjoy a dynamic environment that offers complexity, variety, autonomy, and a culture that encourages you to share your ideas.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>You will be an experienced Auditor with at least eight years of auditing experience, ideally within higher education, public sector, or not-for-profit in New Zealand.
