By focusing on creating delightful customer journeys, we\u2019re shaping the future of budget travel.<\/span>About the Role<\/b><\/span>We are seeking talented Software Engineers across various levels (Software Engineer I, II, and Senior Software Engineer) to join our fast-growing Engineering team.
\n You will play a pivotal role in delivering secure, scalable solutions integrated with our internal and external systems, while constantly improving our engineering standards.
\n As a Software Engineer at MOVE, you are expected to balance technical proficiency, execution excellence, and team collaboration \u2014 continuously contributing towards building world-class travel technology platforms.<\/span>Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/span>1. Technical Domain & Engineering Excellence<\/span>Design, develop, and deliver solutions for well-defined components and services.<\/span>Apply sound technical design and architectural practices, ensuring security, performance, and scalability.<\/span>Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern best practices (TDD, CI\/CD).<\/span>Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and the adoption of new technologies.<\/span>2. Execution & Operational Excellence<\/span>Participate actively in Agile\/Scrum teams, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.<\/span>Provide task-level estimates and proactively flag potential blockers.<\/span>Maintain focus on delivering quality outcomes by incorporating testing, documentation, and best coding practices into everyday work.<\/span>Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to ensure smooth delivery to production environments.<\/span>3. Organizational Building & Collaboration<\/span>Be a strong team player, collaborating across functions and building trusted relationships.<\/span>Share knowledge openly through documentation, mentorship, and internal sharing sessions.<\/span>Contribute to internal knowledge management practices, creating a learning and growth-driven environment.<\/span>Embody AirAsia MOVE\u2019s culture of continuous learning, openness, and customer focus.<\/span>4. Continuous Improvement & Innovation<\/span>Experiment with emerging technologies and introduce improvements to tools, processes, and systems.<\/span>Participate in internal initiatives to drive engineering excellence, DevOps improvements, and operational automation.<\/span>Required Qualifications & Experience<\/b><\/span>Essential:<\/b><\/span>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.<\/span>2\u20138+ years of professional software engineering experience (open to varying levels).<\/span>Proficient in backend development using Java (Spring Boot) and Python. Familiar with front end development technologies such as React.js is a plus<\/span>Solid understanding of Git.
