ING Wholesale Banking has an international network in more than 35 countries supporting clients and enabling business by structuring financial solutions.<\/span>ING Wholesale Banking is present and active in 11 major economies in Asia Pacific, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam. ING\u2019s presence in Asia also includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a 30% stake in TMBThanachart Bank in Thailand.<\/span>Department overview<\/b><\/span>We have internship openings in the following department.<\/span>Sector Coverage | Transport & Logistics | based in Singapore<\/span>The team is responsible for client relationship management for Asia Pacific based companies active in among others Shipping, Container, Logistics and Aviation. The day to day activities include originating, structuring and executing financial transactions including loans, revolving credit facilities, structured financial markets products (including hedging of interest rates, currencies and fuel) as well as portfolio management and other related tasks. The Transport & Logistics sector is fast evolving and plays a vital role in today\u2019s supply chains and global economy.<\/span>The Singapore office is the regional Asia Pacific headquarter with more than 600 employees and you will regularly interact with colleagues from different teams and departments.<\/span>Duties and responsibilities for the role<\/span>Prepare credit analysis and reviews, including financial modelling, financial analysis, rating analysis and market updates;<\/span>Attend client meetings and prepare presentations and pitches whilst keeping an eye on sustainable and innovative solutions;<\/span>Assist in syndication distribution processes and contact with other banks;<\/span>Assist in identifying and monitoring market developments and opportunities;<\/span>Assist with (ad hoc) reporting tasks, covenant tracking, admin forms, banking procedures and due diligence (know-your-customer) process.<\/span>What are the skills and qualifications required for the role?<\/span>Transportation, finance, accounting or business studies with a keen interest to develop a career in the financial services sector;<\/span>Affinity with accounting, data analytics and financial modelling;<\/span>An effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills;<\/span>Detail oriented, systematic and strong analytical skills;<\/span>High level of self-motivation and professionalism with ability to multi-task;<\/span>Ability to work independently;<\/span>Good command of spoken and written English.<\/span>This is a 6 month Internship starting in June\/July<\/p>\n
