Just as important: We have a validated business model and are growing briskly.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We are looking for a smart, enthusiastic, and organized individual to provide outstanding customer service and to address issues relating to people&#8217;s use of our apps.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>ABOUT THIS JOB:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>The ideal candidate will be someone experienced in customer support and have a speaking and writing style (English) that is crisp, clear, and professional. Yet, freshers are also welcome, as we are hiring at varied experience levels. The work would nominally be at FreeElective Network&#8217;s office in the heart of Chennai, a few miles from the IIT-Madras campus. (Most of the team has been working remotely since March 2020, and the option to work from home could be made available over time.)<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The position represents a terrific opportunity to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, especially for someone who derives satisfaction from assisting people and playing an influential role in their making important life decisions. If you think your particular skills and experience would add to our team, we would love to hear from you.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review submitted user profiles to ensure that they comply with our code of conduct and terms of service<\/li>\n<li>Communicate established terms, seeming violations, and required edits to users and also respond to user enquiries and complaints clearly, objectively, and patiently<\/li>\n<li>Maintain intimate knowledge of our service and exercise good judgment in interactions with users<\/li>\n<li>Preserve our customer base by proactively communicating with customers and promoting the value of our services<\/li>\n<li>Track user feedback and work with the customer support manager and community manager to update the online Help Center<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the customer support manager to resolve user issues efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a consistent tone, style, and approach in responding to user enquiries and complaints<\/li>\n<li>Remain current with training, policy, and procedural updates<\/li>\n<li>Work with management team to devise processes, tools, or features to reduce tickets overall<\/li>\n<li>Assist management team in ensuring efficient progress of workflow and transforming business visions into reality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>REQUIREMENTS:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Genuine interest in helping our users as they go about what may be a life-changing experience<\/li>\n<li>Good reading comprehension and communication skills (verbal and written) in English<\/li>\n<li>Good typing skills and working knowledge of office productivity software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with web technology and comfort with the Internet<\/li>\n<li>No college degree necessary; prior work experience is useful, but not necessary \u2013 freshers are also invited to apply<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>PREFERENCES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior experience in any customer-facing job<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in at least one Indian language<\/li>\n<li>Ability to excel in a metrics-driven environment<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software tools<\/li>\n<li>Experience with consumer-facing, interactive web sites or mobile apps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> DESIRED SOFT SKILLS: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Team player with strong analytical and project management skills<\/li>\n<li>Organized and detail-oriented individual who works well with deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to learn, switch roles as necessary, and to roll up one&#8217;s sleeves to get a job done<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment<\/li>\n<li>Energized by the opportunities and challenges of working at a small and growing company<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> SOME TIPS, BEFORE YOU APPLY:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We take this process seriously and hope that you do, too.
