We are a global leader, with hubs in North America, South America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East.<\/span>Job Title – Senior SW Systems Engineer -Golang Networking Developer<\/span>Business Unit: Cloud Engineering Team<\/span>Experience Level: 5 to 10+ years<\/span>Skills: Sustenance, deployment, Troubleshooting, Golang, Kubernetes,<\/span>Location: Chennai<\/span>Job description:<\/b><\/span>In this role, as an individual contributor – Staff SW Systems Engineer, you will work within the software engineering team to troubleshoot\/debug network issues, fix defects, and design, develop and unit test software feature enhancements.<\/span>A strong technical background in layer 2 and layer 3 forwarding is required to diagnose and solve complex technical issues and provide timely solutions to customers in a professional manner.<\/span>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 Participate in the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, enhancement, and support of software modules for the Extreme EFA (Extreme Fabric Automation) platform.<\/span>\u00b7 Bring your strong technical skills as an individual contributor to code and unit tests in containerized microservices-based architecture.<\/span>\u00b7 Participate in troubleshooting calls with customers and interact with various teams to address software issues in a timely manner.<\/span>\u00b7 Analyze the tech support data of Extreme routing\/switching products to isolate the software defects<\/span>\u00b7 Develop and unit test the defect fixes and work with the release teams to quickly deliver the code updates to customers.<\/span>\u00b7 Analyze requirements, design, develop and deliver high-quality Software using the latest technologies and innovations in a timely manner.<\/span>\u00b7 Understand customer requirements and translate them into engineering requirements. Review and sign off on requirements documents.<\/span>\u00b7 Write functional and design specification documents and drive sign-off.<\/span>\u00b7 Interface with developers, QA, Documentation & Customer Support teams as needed.<\/span>\u00b7 Architect, design, develop, test, or troubleshoot features or functions.<\/span>\u00b7 Interact cross-functionally on matters that require coordination across organization lines.<\/span>\u00b7 Participate in full product life cycle development.<\/span>\u00b7 Interface with Support\/Customers during escalations and drive issues to completion<\/span>\u00b7 Lead the efforts to improve the debuggability of EFA and related Extreme Service Provider products suite.<\/span>\u00b7 Work on software bug fixes and map fixes to the software maintenance releases.<\/span>\u00b7 Work on design, specification coding, and unit testing of software feature enhancement requests from Extreme customers.<\/span>\u00b7 Work with various teams, including release, software development, hardware, and technical publications to provide an excellent customer experience in a timely manner.<\/span>\u00b7 Simulate customer network topology and traffic in the lab to reproduce the customer issues.<\/span>Qualifications and Skills Required :<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 BS\/MS or equivalent experience required.<\/span>\u00b7 Minimum 5 years experience in system software development preferably in the networking domain<\/span>\u00b7 Proficient in Golang, Python, Shell Scripting<\/span>\u00b7 Experience in Cloud Native technologies involving Microservices, Dockers, Golang, Kubernetes, Helm Chart, Jenkins, CI, CD<\/span>\u00b7 Experience working with SQL\/NoSQL Databases like MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis<\/span>\u00b7 Experience in working with various message brokers like rabbitmq,NATS,Kafka<\/span>\u00b7 Experience in Deployment of Kubernetes Applications on a large scale with horizontal scaling.<\/span>\u00b7 Should have experience in RPC frameworks like GRPC<\/span>\u00b7 Experience with Jira\/JIRA\/GIT-based CI\/CD pipeline.<\/span>\u00b7 Hands-on in troubleshooting and root-causing issues with docker containerized applications in networking and\/or virtualized server deployments.<\/span>\u00b7 5+ years of software development experience in the networking industry<\/span>\u00b7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/span>\u00b7 Experience in debugging issues in Linux-based virtualized and containerized application deployment.<\/span>\u00b7 Strong experience in Routing & Switching (TCP\/IP, Ethernet, DHCP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, VLAN , STP, VxLAN, LACP).<\/span>\u00b7 Experience with REST\/Netconf a plus.<\/span>n<\/span>n<\/span>If interested please share your resume to skumarms@extremenetworks.com with below details asap.<\/span>Current Base Salary :<\/span>Bonus :<\/b><\/span>Notice Period :<\/span>Expected compensation<\/span>Extreme Networks, Inc.
