Checkmate provides a two-way integration layer between the restaurant\u2019s Point of Sale (POS) system and the evolving digital ordering ecosystem. ItsaCheckmate works with 23,000+ restaurant clients, including small \u201cmom-and-pops\u201d to major chains like Wendy\u2019s, Arby\u2019s, Five Guys, Buffalo Wild Wings, and White Castle. We proudly integrated with 50+ point-of-sale systems and over 100 ordering platforms, including UberEats, DoorDash, and Grubhub.<\/span>We are seeking an accomplished Ruby on Rails Fullstack developer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Ruby on Rails technology and proficiency in React.js. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Ruby on Rails developer with exposure to React.js and have a proven track record of delivering high quality code on time. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and robust web applications that align with our business goals.<\/span>This role is 100% remote, and you may work from any location within India.<\/span>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>Technical Expertise:<\/b><\/span>\u25cf Utilize your extensive Ruby on Rails knowledge to design, develop, test, and deploy web applications.<\/span>\u25cf Oversee code reviews and ensure compliance with best practices and coding standards.<\/span>\u25cf Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.<\/span>\u25cf Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in Ruby on Rails and React.js.<\/span>React.js Integration:<\/span>\u25cf Leverage your React.js experience to guide the integration of React.js components and libraries within Ruby on Rails applications.<\/span>\u25cf Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless interactions between the front-end and back-end.<\/span>Team Leadership:<\/span>\u25cf Coach, and mentor a team of Ruby on Rails developers.<\/span>\u25cf Foster a collaborative and productive work environment<\/span>Cross-Functional Collaboration:<\/span>\u25cf Work closely with product managers, UX\/UI designers, and other stakeholders to gather and refine project requirements.<\/span>\u25cf Translate technical concepts effectively for non-technical team members.<\/span>\u25cf Coordinate efforts with other teams to facilitate system integration and API utilization.<\/span>Requirements<\/b><\/span>\u25cf Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).<\/span>\u25cf A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development.<\/span>\u25cf Proficiency in React.js with demonstrated 1 year of experience in building web applications using this technology.<\/span>\u25cf Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/span>\u25cf Experience with Agile\/Scrum methodologies.<\/span>\u25cf Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and project management tools.<\/span>\u25cf Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.<\/span>Additional Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n
