As a technical leader, you will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure we&#8217;re building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products while helping shape the future of our engineering culture.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take ownership of the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust backend services.<\/li>\n<li>Application design, including the authoring of design documents, flow charts, sequence diagrams and other artifacts that make successful on-time delivery possible.<\/li>\n<li>Create and optimize database schemas, queries, and models for performance and scalability.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of the applications you build.<\/li>\n<li>Leading service\/software implementation by contributing to the codebase, acting as an example of how to write testable, maintainable code which can adapt to the changing needs of our users.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.<\/li>\n<li>Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring innovative solutions to the team.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in planning and strategy meetings to align technical solutions with business goals.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the quality of the application development remains high through the application of best practices like automated testing, peer code reviews and automated CI\/CD pipelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8+ years of professional experience in backend development<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 of those years have been focused on designing, building, deploying<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of database design, modeling, and optimization (both SQL and NoSQL)<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with AWS services<\/li>\n<li>You have experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform or similar technologies that enable the construction and deployment of infrastructure with code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Technical Skills:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive experience with Java, Golang, Elixir or Scala<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of modern software development practices and tools (CI\/CD, Git, Docker, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of microservices architecture and best practices, event driven architecture a plus<\/li>\n<li>Experience in frontend web development with React is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of design principles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Soft Skills:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to work effectively in small teams with excellent communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong multitasking skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor Junior Engineers and ability to lead a team.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>About Us:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform.
