Our 99,600 employees operate a network of 2,600 offices and laboratories, working together to enable a better, safer and more interconnected world.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Job Description<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Job purpose<\/b><br \/>\n       Supervise the execution of the safe &#038; efficient well drilling activities during assigned shift for the development, appraisal and exploration wells, and support the drilling engineers for any operational challenges\/trainings and any other technical support.<br \/>\n       The position will act in accordance with the Group\u2019s Mission, Vision, Values &#038; Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani\u2019s government &#038; other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>HSE Roles &#038; Responsibilities: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical input during any HSE Emergency incident or Well control event arising from Well Engineering activities.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the implementation of Well Delivery HSSE annual plan and ensure all units under Well Delivery operate &#8216;at all time&#8217; in compliance with OQ HSSE requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the close-out HSE actions resulting from Audit or incident investigations.<\/li>\n<li>Actively contribute to all high potential HSE incidents\u2019 investigations including participation in the investigation team while ensuring OQ investigation process is followed and all required reports completed on time.<\/li>\n<li>When required, act as Well Delivery representative as per the Emergency Response Plan.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure to Work safely and think proactively about personal safety and safety of others at work<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in, contribute to, and promote company occupational health, safety, security and environment culture.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the Company HSE and Security policies and procedures and meet company HSE goals and targets, and participate in HSE programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Operations Roles &#038; Responsibilities: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute the assigned work instructions for drilling and service in all aspects of daily drilling and completion activities including (but not limited to); drilling operations, casing operations, cementing operations, well integrity assurance, petrophysical data acquisition, geological data acquisition, fluid systems management, remedial operations and completion operations to ensure compliance with OQ programs. In doing so, the roles may include but are not limited to:<\/li>\n<li>Selection of tools for bottom hole assemblies to identify an optimum configuration that optimizes performance of the tools string and job objective;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor operation of equipment controls to ensure pipe movement in and\/or out of the well does not compromise well control<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Strong understanding of down-hole conditions such as: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Problems associated with the drilling, due to the disturbances of earth stresses around the borehole, caused by the creation of the hole itself and by drilling mud\/formation interaction).<\/li>\n<li>Open\/sable hole by maintaining a balance between earth stresses and pore pressure on one side and well bore mud pressure and chemical composition on the other side (pressure and temperature reduce constantly, and the solubility of elemental sulfur in natural gas decreases continuously)<\/li>\n<li>Perform field calculations to cementation jobs.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise all rig up and rig downs on location including unit transit between locations to ensure HSE is not compromised.<\/li>\n<li>Execute the assigned Drilling task for the Unit(s) and ensure are tested, maintained and operated within their envelope and as per OQ\/OEM requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a detailed post-well operational performance review report.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Senior Drilling Engineer on requirements for operation optimization or remedial work and formulates revised work instructions in accordance with OQ change management requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>+12 years of relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>Degree in Petroleum engineering or related<\/li>\n<li>Well-rounded professional with strong background in petroleum engineering or G&#038;G, adaptable and motivated general management strategist who relishes challenges.<\/li>\n<li>Strong management &#038; leadership skills &#038; should be able to work collaboratively with all involved.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and multi-cultural sensitivity.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate with expertise in MS Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Hands on experience at managerial level in Oil &#038; Gas subsurface field<br \/>\n       Experienced in resource control, contract management and general management.<\/p>\n<p><center><b><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.careerjet.com.om\/jobad\/om10f9a2caae7de7e5844b875dfad206ef?affid=0852fd5db5a52cbcd75bf945aa534932\" class=\"button purchase\" target=\"_blank\">Apply Now<\/a> <\/b><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Company Description We are SGS \u2013 the world&#8217;s leading testing, inspection and certification company.
