Position assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards, assists servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods and supervises Restaurants\/Bars and Room Service Departments, where applicable. Responsibilities include ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Accountable to ensure standards and legal obligations are followed.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Candidate Profile<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Education and Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> OR <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Core Work Activities<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Assisting in Management of Restaurant Team <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handles employee questions and concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors employees to ensure performance expectations are met.<\/li>\n<li>Provides feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in supervising daily shift operations.<\/li>\n<li>Supervises restaurant and all related areas in the absence of the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in department meetings by communicating a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Conducting Day-to-Day Restaurant Operations <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.<\/li>\n<li>Communicates to Chef and Restaurant Manager any issues regarding food quality and service levels.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance with all restaurant policies, standards and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws.<\/li>\n<li>Manages to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.<\/li>\n<li>Performs all duties of restaurant employees and related departments as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Opens and closes restaurant shifts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Providing Exceptional Customer Service <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.<\/li>\n<li>Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.<\/li>\n<li>Encourages employees to provide excellent customer service within guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Handles guest problems and complaints, seeking assistance from supervisor as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Strives to improve service performance.<\/li>\n<li>Sets a positive example for guest relations.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in the review of comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.<\/li>\n<li>Meets and greets guests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Conducting Human Resource Activities <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervises on-going training initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Uses all available on the job training tools for employees.<\/li>\n<li>Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.<\/li>\n<li>Coaches and counsels employees regarding performance on an on-going basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.careerjet.com.qa\/jobad\/qa8a68bffbeaa1315d503c4502a6a37f61?affid=0852fd5db5a52cbcd75bf945aa534932\" class=\"button purchase\" target=\"_blank\">Read More<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Summary Entry level management position that is responsible for the daily operations in Restaurants\/Bars and Room Service.
