Monitors the efficient operation of his area so that product requirements and specifications are maintained.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the safe operation of the production plant including checking to ensure that all trip functions and safety shutdown valves are operating correctly at their correct settings.<\/li>\n<li>Liases with Maintenance Supervisor for the prioritisation of emergent corrective\/restorative work and the application\/direction of Field Support for plant troubleshooting, problem rectification etc.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares for scheduled plant shutdowns. Identifies items to be examined and any proposed modification that may be incorporated. Prepares the spade lists, plant preparation (flushing, purging etc.) and re-instatement procedures prior to shut down. Arranges the supply of nitrogen for purging in preparation for mechanical completion\/plant re-instatement to avoid any delays.<\/li>\n<li>Reports abnormalities in the Process systems immediately to Operations Superintendent \/ Asst. Manager. Troubleshoots day to day problems and resolves the same independently, and\/or after discussions with Production Planning and Operations Superintendent.
