If you are interested in joining a world-class team of passionate people and industry veterans who care about code quality, architecture, design and user experience as much as having fun together, then we\u2019d like to talk to you.<\/span>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>Provide technical leadership to engineers in fast-paced environment<\/span>Enforce design reviews, code reviews, continuous integration and test driven development<\/span>Drive technical excellence and implementation of best engineering practices<\/span>Lead hands-on implementation work to keep current with technology trends inside and outside Yahoo<\/span>Build and deliver high quality and high performance features for our users on Android Mobile App<\/span>Collaborating with user experience designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver new features, enhancements, platform improvements and bug fixes<\/span>Collaborate with other engineers to write testable, reliable code, continuously deploying to production systems<\/span>Growing in a culture of learning through design discussions and code reviews<\/span>Deploy, monitor and operate large scale production systems distributed across the globe.<\/span>Analyze and optimize application\/platform code and\/or APIs for efficiency and performance<\/span>Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 6+ year\u2019s experience<\/span>Strong OO programming experience: Kotlin, Java, C++ or similar<\/span>Strong foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design<\/span>Excellent technical knowledge of Android mobile application development with a solid understanding of the framework components and their life cycles.<\/span>Experience in software development domain and principles, including design patterns, code structure, programming languages, continuous integration, and deployment architecture<\/span>Experience with mobile test driven development using Espresso, Roboelectric, Appium or similar technologies<\/span>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral<\/span>Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>Experience developing Mobile applications frameworks and\/or SDK solutions for Identity, Payments, Analytics, Ads<\/span>Experience with AI, ML and GenAI<\/span>Experience with Web Technologies (NodeJs, JSON, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3)<\/span>Shipped an app to the Google Play store<\/span>Experience with SCRUM or similar agile development methodology<\/span>The material job duties and responsibilities of this role include those listed above as well as adhering to Yahoo policies; exercising sound judgment; working effectively, safely and inclusively with others; exhibiting trustworthiness and meeting expectations; and safeguarding business operations and brand integrity.<\/span>Yahoo is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
