{"id":54126,"date":"2025-03-21T10:59:52","date_gmt":"2025-03-21T10:59:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/public-and-regulatory-affairs-senior-manager\/"},"modified":"2025-03-21T10:59:52","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T10:59:52","slug":"public-and-regulatory-affairs-senior-manager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/public-and-regulatory-affairs-senior-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"Public and Regulatory Affairs Senior Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This role will lead the business response to advocacy, stakeholder engagement and regulatory issues.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The Public and Regulatory Affairs Manager will report to the Corporate Affairs &#038; Sustainability Director.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>A key expectation of the role is that they will provide strategic guidance, direction, and oversight of the stakeholder engagement strategy.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creation and implementation of 360-stakeholder engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Campaigning \/ advocating for specific outcomes on key issues for the business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Senior leadership team briefing on key risks and opportunities linked to advocacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Positive relationships with key stakeholders within Government ministries (political &#038; administrative) and other key stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To lead trade association and other representative body engagement in NI and ROI on behalf of CCHBC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring &#8220;no surprises\u201d in relation to the legislative and regulatory agenda<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong CCHBC representation on business \/ industry associations, with detailed positioning and data ready for use in any campaign<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinating the business response to the packaging collection challenge &#8211; modelling, legislation, legislative development and implementation e.g. Extended Producer Sustainability (EPR), alongside CA&#038;S Director<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Simple, focused briefing for senior leadership team on key risks and opportunities linked to advocacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Network of relationships across industry and business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Essential Criteria<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs or similar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>6 &#8211; 8 years&#8217; experience of Public Affairs and\/or Communications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A demonstrated track record in delivering outcomes on key advocacy and policy issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical specialist understanding and advice, plus key networks in relation to main legislative threats, eg Tax \/ Packaging \/ Health &#038; Nutrition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Deep understanding of the external international and local socio\/economic\/political environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent networker and influencer, capable of creating an early warning network<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Interpersonally sensitive, easily connects with people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Fast thinker with strong learning ability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Business and financial acumen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborative team player supporting cross functional leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with a strong understanding of media relations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Desired Criteria<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience within the FMCG sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>ABOUT YOUR NEW TEAM:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>We are a family of over 33,000 engaged people.
