Job Title Software Development Engineer (JAVA)<\/span>PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:<\/b><\/span>Customer Loyalty is essential to any industry, especially in our current recovery phase, where customer loyalty and engagement are seen as the main drivers for services and technology investments. In the Loyalty world, travel is highly valued. The promise of free holidays is highly desirable to many people, and it is no wonder that Airlines is its second vertical. Airlines programs are also among the most extensive in the world, and many major US airlines generate more revenue from selling miles than from selling tickets.<\/span>In terms of technology, Loyalty management increasingly integrates with Customer Data and Digital platforms, for better real-time data actionability and operations. At Amadeus, this is concretely materialized by the development and roll-out of our new Customer Loyalty Platform, sitting on the Airlines Data Platform.<\/span>Partnerships are crucial in our strategy, and we are pleased to develop solutions with companies such as Microsoft (beyond Azure, Microsoft also owns a world-leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system), Salesforce (for call centers), or Points.com (for miles retailing).<\/span>Main Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>Design, develop, and implement software applications based on project requirements.<\/span>Work closely with the customer together with a Senior Analyst to support customer needs.<\/span>Conduct technical analysis, support expert analysts with technical support, and perform investigations.<\/span>Work autonomously within defined processes and procedures or methodologies, make standard decisions, and may support the development of solutions to complex problems of a recurring nature.<\/span>Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.<\/span>Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and\/or users for validation.<\/span>Model, design, and implement databases.<\/span>Conduct unit, package, and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.<\/span>Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.<\/span>Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst.<\/span>Relevant Work Experience:<\/b><\/span>Proficient in Programming Languages such as Java, JavaScript, and scripting languages.<\/span>Proven experience in Software development and coding.<\/span>Demonstrated success in developing and deploying software applications.<\/span>Experience working in agile development environments.<\/span>Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.<\/span>Previous experience in the airline industry or loyalty domain is preferred.<\/span>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.<\/span>What we can offer you ?<\/b><\/span>\ud83c\udfaf A critical mission and purpose – At Amadeus, you will be powering the future of travel and pursuing a critical mission and extraordinary purpose.<\/span>\ud83c\udf0e A truly global DNA – Everything at Amadeus is global, from our people to our business, which translates into our footprint, processes, and culture.<\/span>\ud83c\udf93 Great opportunities to learn – Learning happens all the time and in many ways at Amadeus, through on-the-job training, formal learning activities, and day-to-day interactions with colleagues.<\/span>\ud83e\udd17 A caring environment – Amadeus fosters a caring environment, nurturing both a fulfilling career and personal and family life.
