Our client is searching for a Developer on contract for a 1 year term, hybrid 3 days per week in office in downtown Toronto, to do the following.<\/span>Must Haves:<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 (with a focus on VB and C#) with significant experienced in building MVC, WPF, and .Net Windows desktop applications<\/span>\u00b7 5+ years’ experience with SQL data retrieval stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server 2014, implement SQL Server database objects, experience in database design, T-SQL, database optimization and tuning<\/span>\u00b7 5+ years’ experience with creation\/maintenance of Web and Windows services (in C# \/ ) providing data for consumption by windows and web applications and workflows<\/span>\u00b7 5+ years’ experience with using reporting tools (e.g. Active Reports, Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)) for Windows and Web applications<\/span>Software Developer – Senior
Description<\/b><\/span>Responsibilities<\/b><\/span>Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes: developing detailed programming specifications, writing and\/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.<\/span>Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.<\/span>General Skills<\/b><\/span>Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level<\/span>Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle<\/span>Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications<\/span>Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications<\/span>Experience in the use of object and\/or third generation language development tools<\/span>Experience in one or more programming languages<\/span>Experience in application design, latest design patters, deployment and troubleshooting<\/span>Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies<\/span>Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages<\/span>Experience with one or more communications protocols<\/span>Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications<\/span>Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts<\/span>Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills<\/span>A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines<\/span>Desirable Skills<\/b><\/span>Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications<\/span>Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies<\/span>Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices<\/span>Experience with middleware and gateways<\/span>Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging<\/span>Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues<\/span>Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team<\/span>Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
