{"id":51851,"date":"2025-03-16T00:59:47","date_gmt":"2025-03-16T00:59:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/tester-iii-embedded-testing-3\/"},"modified":"2025-03-16T00:59:47","modified_gmt":"2025-03-16T00:59:47","slug":"tester-iii-embedded-testing-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/tester-iii-embedded-testing-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Tester III &#8211; Embedded Testing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Job Description:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Role Proficiency:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Independently execute test cases; supporting testing team members in execute test cases<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Outcomes: * Construct test plan and scenarios based on customer requirements <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Construct and execute systematic test cases by referring to test scenarios for embedded systems based on test specifications or requirements<\/li>\n<li>Create automation scripts for test specifications<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that new and revised components or systems perform to expectation<\/li>\n<li>Document test results and report defects<\/li>\n<li>Ensure meeting of standards including usability performance reliability or compatibility<\/li>\n<li>Develop proficiency of other testers in project<\/li>\n<li>Develop and modify the processes practises and procedures based on lessons learned in the engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Measures of Outcomes: * Timely completion of all task <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Number of test cases \/ scripts developed in comparisons to the benchmark<\/li>\n<li>Number of test cases \/ scripts executed in comparisons to the benchmark<\/li>\n<li>Number of valid defects<\/li>\n<li>Review Function and Software Test Specifications in the expected format.<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to project quality processes as per demand.<\/li>\n<li>Number of automation scripts created to reduce manual execution time<\/li>\n<li>Post team review in comparison with benchmark<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to Agile scrum process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Outputs Expected:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Requirements: * Participate<span class=\"br\"><\/span>seek clarifications<br \/>\n       understand<br \/>\n       review * Certified in ISTQB<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Test Design<br \/>\n       Development<br \/>\n       Execution: * Test features and component with good understanding of business problem being addressed for the client <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct gap analysis between requirement specification and test plan using his\/her technology and domain expertise<\/li>\n<li>Identify testable module and create test plan document<\/li>\n<li>Obtain signoff on test plan<\/li>\n<li>Identify and create test cases and test data<\/li>\n<li>Conduct Sanity testing for system readiness check<\/li>\n<li>Execute test cases and scripts<\/li>\n<li>Identify<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> log and track defects * Login productivity data<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Debug: * Able to root cause the defects creating a work around for the defects<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Manage Defects: * Regression tests and defect analysis reports<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Status Reporting: * Reporting for the test activities for the team including multiple testers<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Estimate: * Estimate time<span class=\"br\"><\/span>effort<br \/>\n       and resource dependence for one\u2019s own work * Support lead for team effort estimation<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Skill Examples: * Ability to review requirements to identify ambiguities <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Skill in developing test plans based on identified embedded module<\/li>\n<li>Ability to design test cases \/ scripts \/ requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ability to apply techniques to design efficient test cases \/ script<\/li>\n<li>Ability to set up the hardware and execute tests<\/li>\n<li>Ability to write automation scripts and verify<\/li>\n<li>Ability to collaborate with teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Knowledge Examples: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of testing tools and testing standards<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of tools relevant to embedded systems<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of testing types &#8211; unit integration system testing<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge on CAN UDS protocol OS Automotive standards.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with Agile Methods &#8211; Scrum and Kanban<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge on embedded C programming testing concepts python and automation scripts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Additional Comments:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in aftersales vehicle service, diagnostics and troubleshooting preferably in OEM dealerships\/workshops. Hands-on experience in automotive diagnostic content development. \u2022 Requirement specification for Automotive Aftersales &#038; Aftermarket diagnostic tester software. \u2022 End to end diagnostic content creation for all automotive systems e.g., engine management, electric &#038; hybrid systems, brake control, infotainment, ADAS, transmission, HVAC, airbags etc. \u2022 Analysis of vehicle communication bus logs using various analyzers. \u2022 Simulation of automotive systems using simulator solutions and in conjunction with OE testers. \u2022 Design &#038; creation of workflow or test sequences using IDEs like BDX or Grade-X \u2022 Evaluation of OE diagnostic data, derivation of useful insights and implementing the same in target tester. \u2022 On-vehicle validation of implemented diagnostic content and creation of test reports. \u2022 Benchmarking and reverse engineering of aftersales &#038; aftermarket diagnostic testers. \u2022 Coverage evaluation of aftermarket tester by performing tests on various vehicle brands and systems, in various markets &#038; create test reports. \u2022 Thorough review the deliverables and provide recommendations. \u2022 Continuous learning and self-development. \u2022 Closely interact with software engineering team and technical experts from global teams<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Skills:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>After Sales Service,Automotive Sales,Vehicle Diagnostic<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>About Company:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider.
