That&#8217;s why we need a Senior FrontEnd Engineer with 5+ years of industry experience in frontend software development. You will join a dynamic Engineering team, where you&#8217;ll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge software products, create exceptional user experiences, and make a real impact, while being part of a collaborative and innovative culture.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Requirements:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Tooling: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>React.js<\/li>\n<li>Typescript<\/li>\n<li>HTML<\/li>\n<li>CSS<\/li>\n<li>GraphQL<\/li>\n<li>Figma<\/li>\n<li>Bonus: Server side languages like Elixir, Ruby, Python<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Engineering Experience: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have played a crucial role in the creation and maintenance of design systems, in conjunction with Product Designers. You have prepared and maintained coding style guides, component libraries and design tokens when working within a design system.<\/li>\n<li>You have built and deployed a range of internal and external applications using modern front-end technologies (e.g. Typescript, React, HTML, CSS), consuming APIs (GraphQL, RESTful), and styled components.<\/li>\n<li>You can operate at executing pixel-perfect design as well as building complex applications that span across both FrontEnd and BackEnd (BONUS)<\/li>\n<li>Expert understanding of, and ability to interpret Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA) as development requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Startup DNA: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have been entrusted with critical decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>You understand the pros and cons of the decisions that you have taken, and have reflected upon them.<\/li>\n<li>You can take an idea and take it all the way to closure, with minimal hand-holding.<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;re flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, and have experience scaling systems to support rapid growth.<\/li>\n<li>You have been a one-person army when needed, working with multiple stakeholder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Some Things To Note <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role. You will be collaborating with other developers, and participating in group-level activities like code reviews, stand-ups, but the magic that we can create is the extra 10-20% that we are willing to go for our users, and that starts with the effort we put in everyday, on everything. You will need to truly own the work that you do, which includes the quality bar that you set for yourself and others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It is expected that you will be able to operate with a high degree of autonomy. We are a small team of engineers (<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> 10) and we will need you to be proactive and solve problems with other stakeholders (e.g product, design) without needing a lot of handholding. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are growing quickly, which also means there is increased competitive pressure and customer expectations. Hence, we have to build a lot of product and supporting infrastructure FAST.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We were born in Melbourne, and continue to have a very strong presence there, including some of our most experienced team members. Hence, it is expected, from a communication and training POV, that you will be able to achieve at least 5 hours of overlap with the team in Melbourne, which typically works between 9 AM and 630 PM AEST.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Finally, due to legal reasons, employees outside Australia will be on the books officially as a Contractor. That has no bearing on how your day to day at Cadmus would look like.
