Cisco&#8217;s automation team provides an outstanding, unique experience for Software engineers by combining the resources offered by a sizable multi-geography organization and a large campus (with an on-site gym, healthcare, caf\u00e9, social interest groups, and philanthropy) with the startup culture and breadth of growth opportunities that working in a smaller ASIC team can provide.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Your Impact<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Review and Documentation Review PRD, SFS, and create comprehensive Test plans and customer-facing documentation.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Testing and Issue Resolution: Execute software tests, diligently track and log issues, and drive them to resolution while ensuring the verification of bug fixes.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Collaboration:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Collaborate with Development, Marketing, and Customer-facing teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software features.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Data Center Architecture:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u00b7. Understand and implement Data Center architecture in testing topologies.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Networking Concepts and Telemetry:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u00b7. Implement networking concepts for testing telemetry and programmability technologies.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Field Trials and POCs:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u00b7. Engage in Early Field Trials and Customer POCs as required.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Feedback Integration:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Work closely with field\/customer-facing teams to incorporate feedback into internal test phases and build standard methodologies.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Automation:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Automate switch and software controller testing using Python and Selenium.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Tool Evaluation and Integration: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify, evaluate, and implement automation tools, libraries, and technologies to enhance the automation framework.<\/li>\n<li>Integrate automation into CI\/CD pipelines for testing and deployment processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 10+ years ofexperience in testing Networking and Network Management\/Controller application or MSEE\/CS or equivalent with atleast 5+ years of experience in Networking software testing.<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of experience in automation with scripting languages such as Tcl, Python, Selenium, with a preference for a good understanding of Cisco pyATS infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in microservices architecture and design principles.<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in testing Networking technologies such as L2\/L3, Vxlan, and understanding of OAM, Telemetry, Data Center Spine\/Leaf architecture, and Programmability (REST\/NETCONF\/OC, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Experience with debugging and verification methodologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exposure to CI\/CD, Jenkins, and a Test-driven development approach.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).<\/li>\n<li>Experience in testing GUI products, with UI automation skills as a plus.<\/li>\n<li>2-3 years&#8217; experience using 3rd party test tools such as Ixia, Spirent, Infoblox, etc., with experience automating using APIs on these tools being a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Good problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience in building testbeds, scoping testing efforts using technical judgments with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> #WeAreCisco<span class=\"br\"><\/span>WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Our passion is connection-we celebrate our employees&#8217; diverse set of backgrounds and focus on unlocking potential. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. The recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco&#8217;s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco&#8217;s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;<span class=\"br\"><\/span>1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;<span class=\"br\"><\/span>1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target.
