Description<\/b><\/span>Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Security Operations Center (SOC) is a US Government program responsible to prevent, identify, contain and eradicate cyber threats to CBP networks through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services to CBP information systems including local area networks\/wide area networks (LAN\/WAN), commercial Internet connection, public facing websites, wireless, mobile\/cellular, cloud, security devices, servers and workstations. The CBP SOC is responsible for the overall security of CBP Enterprise-wide information systems, and collects, investigates, and reports any suspected and confirmed security violations.<\/span>The VAT Analyst will be assisting with the Enterprise Information System Vulnerability Management (ISVM) compliance validation, execute Vulnerability Scans and will conduct vulnerability assessments of IT systems. Perform research on current vulnerabilities, support Incident Response and SOC functions as related to vulnerabilities. Will be responsible for authoring security advisories.<\/span>Basic Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>Expertise and experience conducting assessments and vulnerability scans against web, database, operating system, wifi and network devices using DHS CDM vulnerability scanning tool suites.<\/span>Experience customizing and maintaining scan polices, scan schedules, inventories, zones, and repositories on scanning tools.<\/span>Experience providing formal and adhoc reports on security vulnerabilities.<\/span>Experience reviewing scan results to ensure accurate findings.<\/span>Experience with the vulnerability assessment component of DHS Audits and FISMA security authorization, and on-going authorization activities.<\/span>Detailed oriented, strong problem solving abilities with an analytic and qualitative eye for reasoning under pressure.<\/span>Self-starter with the ability to independently prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision.<\/span>Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills.<\/span>Expertise with DHS CDM tools, specifically vulnerability scanning tools suite.<\/span>Tenable Security Center, Appdetective, WebInspect and Burp Suite.<\/span>Experience with Tenable Security Center, AppDetective, WebInspect, Axonius, and Splunk.<\/span>Experience with Configuration compliance and Security Technical Implementation Guides.<\/span>Ability to script in one more of the following computer languages Python, Bash, Visual Basic or Powershell .<\/span>Must be a US Citizen.<\/span>Degree requirements:<\/b><\/span>Bachelors\u2019 degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field and 4 years of related experience.<\/span>Additional years of experience and cyber certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.<\/span>Certifications: One or more of the following certifications:<\/span>CEH, LPT, ECSA, ENSA, CNDA, ECSS, ECSP, ECES, CISSP, CCSP, SEI, OSEE, ISWP, OSCE, OSCP, CCNA Security, GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, GAWN, GMOB, GYPC, GXPN<\/span>Clearance: Must have an active Secret Clearance.<\/span>In addition to the specific clearance requirement, all personnel supporting CBP must have a current background investigation (BI) or obtain a favorable BI before joining the program. A Secret Clearance is required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI. In addition to specific security clearance requirements all CBP SOC employees are required to successfully complete a CBP Background Investigation to support this program<\/span>Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>Prior FISMA Audit\/Technical assessment experience<\/span>Prior Pentesting experience within DOD, DHS or US Federal Civilian agency<\/span>Original Posting: March 7, 2025<\/span>For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.<\/span>Pay Range: Pay Range $85,150.00 – $153,925.00<\/span>The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
