You would be working with a team of highly skilled engineers to scale Pattern\u2019s SaaS applications.<\/span>What can you expect?<\/b><\/span>Lead engineering initiatives to deliver innovative and high quality products.<\/span>Collaborate cross-functionally with product, customer support, ops, AI and business teams to define, deliver, and support software that meets customer needs.<\/span>Contribute to design and implementation of the overall web architecture.<\/span>Develop and manage highly reliable and scalable databases. Did we mention we have about 37 trillion data points? We continue to gather about 192 billion data points per week!<\/span>Hire, train and develop top engineering talent from India to carry on the engineering culture we\u2019ve built so far.<\/span>Code and design reviews with team members. Create thorough documentation.<\/span>What would you need?<\/span>5-10 years of proven work experience developing highly performant applications and services utilizing any web framework.<\/span>Deep expertise in Object Oriented Design using more than one programming language like Python, Ruby, C#, Java, PHP, Go, TypeScript, Node.js, etc.<\/span>Proficiency with at least one relational database (e.g., Postgres, MySQL) with experience writing efficient SQL queries, ideally on large databases.<\/span>Exposure to microservices architecture and API design<\/span>Excellent understanding of REST concepts.<\/span>Exposure to modern SRE \/ DevOps practices<\/span>Thorough understanding of user experience and product strategy<\/span>Appreciation for clean and well documented code<\/span>Understanding of messaging queue concepts and technologies, such as Active MQ, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, AWS SNS etc.<\/span>Experience in writing automated unit tests<\/span>Precise attention to details.<\/span>Strong judgment and commitment to ethics<\/span>An eagerness to learn and adapt to different and new technologies.<\/span>Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)<\/span>What could set you apart?<\/span>Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field<\/span>Experience in collaborating with remote teams<\/span>Communication: Strong writing and editing skills.<\/span>Tech Stack: Prior experience with Ruby on Rails<\/span>Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in accomplishing the task at hand, double checking for accuracy and quality on a consistent basis.<\/span>Problem Solving: Ability to operate as an effective and strategic thinker, navigating ambiguity and conflicts.
