DESCRIPTION<\/b><\/span>Amazon is looking for a Device Associate – II for the Amazon Appstore Selection Quality Services (ASQS) team.
\n The Amazon Appstore is an online store operated by Amazon that allows users to browse, download, and purchase apps and games for various platforms, including Android devices, Amazon Fire tablets, and Fire TV devices.
\n The Appstore Selection Quality Services (ASQS) team is an integral part of the Amazon Appstore. Our goal is to build the most relevant, high-quality selection of apps and games for Amazon Appstore customers across first-party devices like Fire TV and Fire tablets, as well as third-party Android devices.
\n ASQS plays a crucial role in connecting content to customers while mitigating risks to the Amazon Appstore ecosystem. We accomplish this by certifying, blocking, and suppressing externally developed low-quality and unsafe apps\/content, maintaining a secure and trustworthy app marketplace. The team’s key responsibilities include, but not limited to,
\n – APPLICATION TESTING: Conduct comprehensive testing of submitted applications to ensure they comply with Amazon’s policies, guidelines, and quality standards before approval for publishing LIVE to the Appstore Catalog.
\n – POLICY ENFORCEMENT: Consistently apply and enforce Amazon’s app store policies, ensuring fair treatment of developers while protecting users from potentially harmful or substandard applications
\n – CUSTOMER FEEDBACK MANAGEMENT: Monitor and analyze user reviews and feedback, addressing concerns and taking appropriate action when necessary to maintain the integrity of the app store.
\n – DEVELOPER RELATIONS: Provide guidance and support to application developers, assisting them in understanding and adhering to Amazon’s submission requirements and best practices.
\n CAREER PATH: Amazon Appstore provides opportunities to advance vertically to DA III role, taking on increased responsibilities. Alternatively, employees can explore lateral movements into Business Analyst positions such as BA role, transitioning into leadership roles such as Program Manager or Operations Manager, or specializing in Quality Assurance as QAT or QAE. The employee’s career path will be driven by their performance, interests, and the Appstore’s evolving requirements, which will be supported by continued training, mentorship, and cross-functional opportunities.<\/span>Key job responsibilities<\/b>
\n – Execute test cases for mid-sized components and features on FireOS devices
\n – Apply and refine manual device and application test procedures
\n – Log and track bugs, failures, and quality issues, ensuring resolution within SLAs
\n – Review and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) from existing test methods
\n – Provide floor support and mentorship to junior team members
\n – Improve test processes, communication, and metrics for efficiency
\n – Meet daily productivity and quality targets set by the team
\n – Understand work flow and identify training needs for the team<\/span>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS<\/b><\/span>– EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: Graduate in any field of study
\n – TECHNICAL SKILLS: Strong understanding of software manual testing concepts and familiarity with using common software applications like adb, with expertise in designing and executing comprehensive test plans and strategies for complex components and features
\n – INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, along with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment<\/span>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<\/b><\/span>EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: Bachelor’s degree in any field, with relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance or policy compliance knowledge.
