We are seeking those who have a passion for using data, analytics, and insights to drive decision making, that will allow us to tackle some of the world\u2019s greatest health threats.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Within our Human Health Digital, Data &#038; Analytics organization we are transforming to better power decision-making across our end-to-end commercialization process, from business development to late lifecycle management. As we endeavor, we are seeking a dynamic talent to serve in the role of Senior Specialist &#8211; Data Science.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We are seeking candidates with prior experience in the healthcare analytics or consulting sectors, prior hands-on experience in Data Science (building end-to-end ML models) and has hands on experience on building Gen AI based applications and systems.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>It is preferred that you have a good understanding of Physician and Patient-level data (PLD) from leading vendors such as IQVIA, Komodo, and Optum. Familiarity with HCP Analytics, PLD analytics, concepts like persistence, compliance, line of therapy, etc., or Segmentation &#038; Targeting is highly desirable. You will be part of a dynamic team that collaborates with our partners across therapeutic areas. Furthermore, effective communication skills are crucial, as this role requires interfacing with executive and business stakeholders.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Selects analytical techniques and model methods best to solve business problems<\/li>\n<li>Ensures best practices sharing and cross the organization<\/li>\n<li>Enables delivery of data-analytics &#038; Gen AI projects. Have deep knowledge of the company&#8217;s supported technology; understand the whole complexity\/dependencies between multiple teams, platforms (people, technologies)<\/li>\n<li>Communicates intensively with other platform\/competencies to comprehend new trends and methodologies being implemented\/considered within the company ecosystem<\/li>\n<li>Understands the customer\/stakeholders business needs\/priorities and helps building solutions that support our business goals<\/li>\n<li>Leads &#038; Participates in \u201ccommunity of practice\u201d leveraging experience from delivering complex analytics projects.<\/li>\n<li>Designs machine learning systems and software to automate predictive model<\/li>\n<li>Transforms data science prototypes and applying appropriate ML algorithms and tools<\/li>\n<li>Develops ML algorithms to analyze large volumes of historical data to make predictions<\/li>\n<li>Establishes and manages the close relationship with customers\/stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Skills<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Machine Learning<\/li>\n<li>Software Development<\/li>\n<li>Generative AI<\/li>\n<li>NLP<\/li>\n<li>Prompt Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Testing<\/li>\n<li>Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)<\/li>\n<li>Design Applications using AWS \/ GCP \/ Azure<\/li>\n<li>Data Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Specializations <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AI\/ML (Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Data Science)<\/li>\n<li>Gen AI<\/li>\n<li>NLP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree with 9+ years industry experience<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Python &#038; SQL<\/li>\n<li>Experience in healthcare analytics or consulting sectors<\/li>\n<li>Experience in HCP Analytics, Segmentation and Targeting and Patient Level Data analytics (e.g., creating Patient Cohorts, knowledge of Lines of Therapy, Persistency, Compliance, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in leading small &#8211; mid sized teams<\/li>\n<li>Strong foundations of statistics and machine learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced degree in STEM (MS, MBA, PhD)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Oncology\/Vaccine\/Pharma &#038; Rare Diseases therapeutic area commercial analytics<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of statistics, data science and machine learning &#038; commercial<\/li>\n<li>Experience of supporting End to End Project Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Current Employees apply<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Current Contingent Workers apply<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully<br \/>\n       Merck &#038; Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp &#038; Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
