Purchase Manager<\/span>Location: NSP, Delhi<\/span>Working Days: 6 Days<\/span>Department: Procurement<\/span>Reports To: Head of Purchase or Purchase Manager<\/span>Position Overview: The Purchase Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement activities for the FMCG or Pharma industry. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts,
\n managing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services to meet company needs while optimizing cost and quality.<\/span>Note: The candidate must have strong knowledge of Lab Chemicals, Glassware, Packing, Engineering Consumable, Raw Material such as Rose Oil, Lavender Oil, Tea, Steric Acid, Kathon CG, Dry Flo, Saffron, MC Wax White, Paraffin Wax, Menthol, Camphor, Cetosteryl Alcohol, Sodium Salt EDTA, Propylene Glycol, PEG400, Purfume, EDTD Di Sodium Salt, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Malia, Glyserine, Almond Oil, Caustic Soda, etc. and Packing Material such as Master Carton & Mono Carton, Inner Box & Outer Box, Intermediate Box, Partition Plate, Pet Jar & Cap, Container & Cap, etc.<\/span>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>1. Supplier Management:
\n o Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
\n o Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
\n o Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts and pricing.
\n o Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes.
\n 2. Procurement Strategy:
\n o Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company\u2019s goals and objectives.
\n o Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify new opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
\n o Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
\n 3. Purchase Orders and Inventory Management:
\n o Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders.
\n o Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to ensure optimal stock levels.
\n o Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to manage stock and avoid overstocking or stockouts.<\/span>4. Cost Management:<\/span>o Monitor and control procurement budgets.
\n o Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiency.
\n o Prepare and present cost analysis reports and recommendations.<\/span>5. Quality Assurance:<\/span>o Ensure that purchased products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
\n o Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers.
\n o Conduct regular audits and evaluations of supplier performance.<\/span>6. Documentation and Reporting:<\/span>o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and
\n other procurement documents.
\n o Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
\n o Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on procurement data.<\/span>7. Team Management:<\/span>o Supervise and mentor procurement staff.
\n o Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
\n o Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.<\/span>Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>\uf0b7 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master\u2019s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPP) is a plus.
\n \uf0b7 5-7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the FMCG or Pharma industry.
\n \uf0b7 Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
\n \uf0b7 Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
\n \uf0b7 Ability to analyze market trends, data, and supplier performance.
\n \uf0b7 Experience using procurement software SAP,ERP, etc.
\n \uf0b7 Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
\n \uf0b7 Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.<\/span>Working Conditions:<\/b><\/span>\uf0b7 Office environment with occasional travel to supplier sites or other company locations.
\n \uf0b7 May require extended hours during peak periods or special projects.<\/p>\n
