Job Description:<\/b><\/span>SI Electrification & Automation \u2013 SI EA \/ SAS Commissioning Service Engineer \u2013 Egypt\/Cairo<\/span>Smart infrastructure from Siemens intelligently connects energy systems, buildings and industries to adapt and evolve the way we live and work. It helps our customers to thrive, communities to progress and supports sustainable development.<\/span>our Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation Business unit as a SAS Commissioning Service Engineer and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow.<\/span>Your Role \u2013 International, Challenging and Future-Oriented!<\/span>Role: Commissioning activities for Substation Automation and Control systems, covering RTU, SCADA\/HMI, and networking solutions in domestic and international projects.<\/span>Travel: 80-90%<\/span>Substation Automation Expertise:<\/span>Process Level, Bay Level, and Control Level systems.<\/span>Protocols: IEC 61850, IEC 101\/104, Modbus RTU\/TCP, DNP3, OPC, with configuration and analysis using tools like IED Scout, Wireshark, and IEC Tester.<\/span>RTU & Gateway Configuration: Configuration of SICAM A8000 and SICAM AK3 systems.<\/span>Siemens Relay Experience: Proficient in working with SIPROTEC relays (configuration, testing, and troubleshooting).<\/span>SCADA Systems: Implementation and testing of SICAM PAS, WinCC Explorer, and WinCC OA solutions.<\/span>Networking & Cybersecurity:<\/span>Knowledge of networking components like routers, switches, GPS, and firewalls.<\/span>Basic CCNA-level networking skills.<\/span>Testing & Integration: Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).<\/span>Control Center Interfacing: Ensure seamless data integration and communication with control centers.<\/span>Required Skills<\/b><\/span>Technical Competency:<\/span>Expertise in DIGSI, SICAM Device Manager, and SICAM Toolbox.<\/span>Strong understanding of Windows OS, PC networking, and debugging tools.<\/span>Familiarity with scripting and programming in IEC 61131-3 or SQL is an advantage.<\/span>Your Qualifications and Skills \u2013 Digital and Solid!<\/span>\u00b7 Minimum Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical \/ Electronics & Communication \/ Electronics)<\/span>\u00b7 Working experience in Multicultural environment. Commissioning of Protection & Automation Products \/ Systems preferably with experience Minimum 3 years (B.Tech\/BE preferred)<\/span>\u00b7 Training on Siemens Automation Products \/ Systems preferred<\/span>\u00b7 Technical Product knowhow, Relay Communication Software, IEC61850 Communication, GOOSE Applications, Preparation of Control Logics in BCPU \/ BCU, creation of scd \/ icd \/ cid files, knowledge on other Communication Protocols.<\/span>\u00b7 500kV \/ 220kV \/ 66kV Protection Schemes & Logics for Line Distance Protection, Line Differential Protection, Communication Schemes, Transformer Main & Backup Protection, Low Impedance \/ High Impedance Bus Bar Protection in a Transmission Sub Station.<\/span>\u00b7 Familiarity with New Technologies such as Process Bus \/ RTU etc.<\/span>\u00b7 Knowledge on Competitor Products<\/span>\u00b7 Self-motivated and be a team Player with effective Communication Skills<\/span>\u00b7 Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for effective customer interactions.<\/span>\u00b7 A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.<\/span>\u00b7 Language skills English<\/span>What else do you need to know?<\/span>As a world leader in developing and producing the most advanced engineering technologies, we improve lives and further human achievements worldwide, while also protecting the climate – all thanks to our employees.
