Following the educational ideals of TWGHs and leveraging on its renowned strengths and expertise, TWC aims to provide high quality tertiary education to nurture competent, socially responsible and caring professionals for the benefits of society.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>With the staunch support of TWGHs, TWC has been developing rapidly and built up a niche in healthcare education. It is the first self-financing tertiary institution offering five professionally accredited degrees to train nurses and allied health professionals such as medical laboratory technologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and radiation therapists. Besides, the College is also the first institution registered under Cap. 320 offering early childhood education degree and higher diploma programmes to train qualified kindergarten teachers and child care professionals.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Currently, TWC has 4 schools (namely School of Arts and Humanities, School of Management, School of Medical and Health Sciences, and School of Nursing) running a total of 19 degree, sub-degree, diploma, certificate and advanced certificate programmes in several disciplines. It has a student population of over 4,000 in 2024\/2025.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Being a young and vibrant institution, TWC aspires to become a leading private university in the long-term. It is planning to launch a number of new programmes, strengthen teaching and learning facilities and quality, and enhance research capability etc. in coming years. To cope with its continuous development, we are now inviting highly qualified candidates to fill the following post:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Duties of Technical Officer<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The appointee will work in the laboratories of School of Medical and Health Sciences (MHS). His \/ Her duties include but not limited to: * Assistance in MHS procurement functions; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assistance in managing MHS facilities (e.g. equipment maintenance);<\/li>\n<li>Assistance in maintaining laboratory safety;<\/li>\n<li>Support laboratory teaching of teaching staffs;<\/li>\n<li>Stock keeping;<\/li>\n<li>Provide regular reporting to the Assistant Laboratory Manager; and<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as assigned by the Dean \/ Lab Director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Duties of Assistant Technical Officer<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The appointee will work in the laboratories of School of Medical and Health Sciences (MHS). His \/ Her duties include but not limited to: * Providing technical advice and support to laboratory users; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitating laboratory users to conduct demonstration, teaching and learning in laboratory classes for undergraduate and sub-degree students;<\/li>\n<li>Performing regular maintenance of all laboratory equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operation of the Medical Science and Life Science laboratories;<\/li>\n<li>Assisting students in the procedural \/ practical steps during laboratory classes;<\/li>\n<li>Assistance in supervision of students in the laboratories;<\/li>\n<li>Assistance in regular stock maintenance and procurement;<\/li>\n<li>Assistance in project, research and consultancy activities of the teaching staff;<\/li>\n<li>Enforcement of laboratory safety in the teaching laboratories;<\/li>\n<li>Assistance in the implementation of Health and Safety policies of the College; and<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as assigned by the Dean \/ Lab Director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requirements<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>For Technical Officer, applicants should: * possess a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Biological \/ Biomedical \/ Microbiological \/ Chemical Sciences or a relevant discipline; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have at least 3 years of relevant working experience in laboratories of a tertiary institution \/ clinic \/ hospital;<\/li>\n<li>have good knowledge of health and safety practices; and<\/li>\n<li>possess IT and computer knowledge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Working in irregular hours including Saturdays and Sundays may be needed when necessary.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>For Assistant Technical Officer, applicants should: * possess a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Biological \/ Biomedical \/ Microbiological \/ Chemical Sciences or a relevant discipline; <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have some relevant working experience in laboratories of a tertiary institution \/ clinic \/ hospital;<\/li>\n<li>have good knowledge of health and safety practices; and<\/li>\n<li>possess IT and computer knowledge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Working in irregular hours including Saturdays and Sundays may be needed when necessary.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>To apply, please submit your application letter, resume and a completed application form (available at http:\/\/www.twc.edu.hk\/en\/Administration_Units\/hro\/career\/application_guideline) by mail to the Human Resources Office, Tung Wah College Cheung Kung Hai Memorial Building, 90A Shantung Street, Mongkok, Kowloon or email to [email redacted, apply via Company website].
