The school a vibrant community.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family of schools and to help shape the future of Abu Dhabi&#8217;s leading school group.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Job Purpose:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>To work as part of the team in supporting students learning in the classroom and also work alongside Assistant Principal-Culture and Heritage to promote local culture and heritage across the school.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>General Responsibilities:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>With the School Staff:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist school in achieving its overall vision and strategic intentions and to contribute to the achievement of relevant targets as set out in the school&#8217;s improvement plan and self-evaluation form.<\/li>\n<li>To embody the values, vision and ethos of Muna British Academy and assist the Senior Leadership Team in delivering policy which will ensure high quality and successful outcomes for all teaching programmes within the phase.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with regulations pertaining to health and safety at work legislation and adhere to school policies relating to safe working practice and equal opportunities regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Engage in annual training linked to child protection, safeguarding and health and safety together with all training deemed appropriate for the purpose of school improvement or performance management.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with the school&#8217;s staff dress code at all times including the wearing of photo ID \/ lanyard.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with the school&#8217;s computer Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Support SLT in promoting UAE heritage and cultural values across the school, meeting with staff to offer support on this, where required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> With the Student:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To develop an understanding of the Additional Educational Needs (AEN) \/special Educational Needs of the student\/s concerned.<\/li>\n<li>To take into account the student\/s&#8217; diverse needs and ensure their access to the lesson and its content through appropriate clarification, explanations, equipment and materials.<\/li>\n<li>To build and maintain successful relationships with student(s), treat them consistently, with respect and consideration.<\/li>\n<li>To help reinforce learning and promote\/embed UAE cultural values and culture within learning.<\/li>\n<li>To help promote independent learning.<\/li>\n<li>To assist students with physical needs.<\/li>\n<li>To help students record work in an appropriate way.<\/li>\n<li>To develop study and organisational skills.<\/li>\n<li>To help keep the students on task and to build motivation.<\/li>\n<li>To model good practice.<\/li>\n<li>To help build the student\/s&#8217; confidence and enhance self-esteem.<\/li>\n<li>To maintain liaison with parents regarding student(s) performance, where appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> With the Teacher\/Phase Leader:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To have formal and informal meetings with regard to Teaching and Learning plans for the lesson\/activities.<\/li>\n<li>To prepare materials and resources as required.<\/li>\n<li>To prepare students beforehand for a task.<\/li>\n<li>To work on differentiated activities with identified groups.<\/li>\n<li>To support the teacher in implementing specific teaching techniques.<\/li>\n<li>To supervise practical tasks.<\/li>\n<li>To be involved in keeping records on evaluating the progress of identified students&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Support the AP in implementing various initiatives to promote UAE heritage and culture learning environments within the phase.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure effective communication with families about the UAE heritage and culture and the benefits of focusing on this.<\/li>\n<li>Be a role model to other UAE national staff and suggest interventions for promoting UAE nationals retention in the school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><br \/>\n       High school.
