Manage and support the Land Mobile Radio System (LMRS), and act as the primary POC for all user generated support issues. Responsible for requesting, and managing frequency allocations.<br \/><b>Responsibilities<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the daily operations of the Land Mobile Radio system and Mass Notification System. Ensure all Audio-Visual Department Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements IAW with established department guidelines and procedures. Participate in all internal and external audits.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for checking all conventional repeater sites that support the LMRS radio network.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for fleet-mapping frequency and channel usage for all network users; reprogramming radios, over the air rekey (OTAR), and troubleshooting all associated equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise all Technicians\/Engineers who work on the LMRS and WAVES Mass Notification System.<\/li>\n<li>Able to work with outside agencies concerning the system and provide escort services when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Provide training for the Communication Engineers so their skills are up to date on current equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Provide fleet map annually and as directed by the COR or ACO.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the primary POC for all user generated issues relating to the LMRS and WAVES Mass Notification System.<\/li>\n<li>Identify improvements and make recommendations for enhancements and upgrades to the overall performance of the systems.<\/li>\n<li>Request, manage, and allocate frequencies from the designated USG representative on behalf of the COR.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Qualifications:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator\u2019s License and host nation Driver\u2019s License, is required.<\/li>\n<li>Host nation Heavy Duty Driver&#8217;s License<\/li>\n<li>High School Diploma.<\/li>\n<li>College degree or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>Must be a U.S. Citizen.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Secret clearance.<\/li>\n<li>Meets requirements outlined in AR 25-2 for NIPRNET access.<\/li>\n<li>DoD Information Assurance Awareness Training (https:\/\/ia.gordon.army.mil\/dodiaa\/).<\/li>\n<li>Experience:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>3-5 years\u2019 experience with frequency management and fleet mapping.<\/li>\n<li>3-5 years\u2019 experience with radios and electronics.<\/li>\n<li>Skills:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.<\/li>\n<li>Customer service training.<\/li>\n<li>Must possess a Professional demeanor.<\/li>\n<li>Work effectively with all levels of employees, including top, middle and other supervisory levels of management.<\/li>\n<li>Exercise direction and good judgment, possess high-level organizational and planning skills.<\/li>\n<li>Customer service training DoD Information Assurance Awareness Training (https:\/\/ia.gordon.army.mil\/dodiaa\/)<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory Responsibilities:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise all Technicians\/Engineers who work on the LMRS and WAVES Mass Notification System.<\/li>\n<li>Working Conditions:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.<\/li>\n<li>Indoor and\/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).<\/li>\n<li>Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.<\/li>\n<li>Physical Requirements:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and\/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and\/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.<\/li>\n<li>Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations.
