{"id":32544,"date":"2025-02-01T23:03:01","date_gmt":"2025-02-01T23:03:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/senior-engineer-instrumentation-life-science\/"},"modified":"2025-02-01T23:03:01","modified_gmt":"2025-02-01T23:03:01","slug":"senior-engineer-instrumentation-life-science","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/senior-engineer-instrumentation-life-science\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Engineer &#8211; Instrumentation Life Science"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Responsibilities:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 8-15 years&#8217; experience in basic and detail design and project coordination of Instrumentation works on Pharmaceutical, Infrastructure, and Energy Projects.<\/li>\n<li>Should be familiar with cGMP, GAMP 5, and other Pharmaceutical Design guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Design and Detail Engineering including preparation, Checking, and review of Instrument Index, Data Sheet, Specification for Field Instruments and Control systems, SAMA\/Logic diagrams, Sizing of Flow Element Valves, Construction drawings and knowledge in DCS\/PLC systems.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the following areas-<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Valves &#038; flow elements sizing calculations<\/li>\n<li>Field instrumentation selection<\/li>\n<li>Preparation\/checking of inst. index, I\/O list, datasheets, MRs, TBE, VDR\/VDI<\/li>\n<li>Pre-order and post-order activities<\/li>\n<li>Handling package interface, inter-discipline coordination<\/li>\n<li>Participation in HAZOP \/ SIL activities<\/li>\n<li>Generation and checking of process.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to DCS \/ ESD \/ PLC \/ BMS\/EMS<\/li>\n<li>Interaction with client\/licensor \/ PMC \/ vendor<\/li>\n<li>Conversant with international engineering standards<\/li>\n<li>Conversant with QA \/ QC procedures<\/li>\n<li>Capable of supervising &#038; guiding all design activities<\/li>\n<li>Experience in tools &#038; 3-D modelling.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring project Key performance indicators (KPI)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the timely completion of all project specifications, Datasheets, schedules, designs and drawings for project assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out review of vendor&#8217;s bids and drawings \/ documentation for technical acceptability.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience in SPI<\/li>\n<li>Handling subcontractors \/ off loader<\/li>\n<li>Utilization of SME for speciality items<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical assistance to other design groups as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the compliance to Codes and standards, statutory guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Shall ensure the project is delivered on time and within the budget allotted.<\/li>\n<li>Shall ensure that Quality and productivity parameters set for the project are achieved.<\/li>\n<li>Proactively identifying and addressing the concerns related to inputs, resources etc. to meet the project performance objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Coordination with various stake holders like Client \/ various internal disciplines like projects \/ Piping \/ mechanical \/ architect \/ civil \/Electrical vendors for effective engineering management<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing a team of designers working on an area scope. Planning, Monitoring, and checking the quality of the work done by designers.<\/li>\n<li>Be fully conversant with Company procedures, technical work practices, workings and policy.<\/li>\n<li>Continue professional development by attendance to in and out of company technical training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Qualifications and Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.E. \/ B. Tech (Instrumentation) with a minimum 8-15 years&#8217; experience<\/li>\n<li>Industry Type &#8211; Life sciences \/ Chemical<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with engineering consultancies and EPC companies for design &#038; engineering is desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Should have good exposure in pharma industry guidelines such ISPE, USFDA, WHO, cGMP<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in the following is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Bio-Pharmaceutical -Upstream and downstream process<\/li>\n<li>API -Synthetic and Bio Fermentation<\/li>\n<li>Formulation -Oral solid \/suspension<\/li>\n<li>Fill Finish \/Vaccine facility.<\/li>\n<li>Clean Utility Systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>About Us:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
