{"id":2883,"date":"2024-11-12T15:13:06","date_gmt":"2024-11-12T15:13:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/cost-controller\/"},"modified":"2024-11-12T15:13:06","modified_gmt":"2024-11-12T15:13:06","slug":"cost-controller","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/cost-controller\/","title":{"rendered":"Cost Controller"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>About the job Cost Controller<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for various financial tasks and analysis in relation to Ship Conversion \/ Profit centers and Legal entities.<\/li>\n<li>Issue customer invoices and interact with Customers and vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Apply the principles of accounting to prepare and analyse financial information for the assigned vessel.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with the companys policies and procedures and related internal controls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review of monthly Profit &#038; Loss statement and account analysis<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of monthly Profit &#038; Loss statement and account analysis for assigned vessel conversion<\/li>\n<li>Review monthly financial results with assigned rig teams and provide variance memos\/schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that assigned day-to-day operations are carried out in accordance with established policies, objectives and budget.<\/li>\n<li>Heavy participation in the budgeting\/roll-on forecast processes.<\/li>\n<li>Review assigned area related vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and account coding.<\/li>\n<li>Review and classification of special items, authorisation for financial expenditures (AFEs).<\/li>\n<li>Interact and liaise with a variety of departments (Contracts, supply chain, HR, Technical) within the organization as well as multiple levels of management.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy.<\/li>\n<li>Determine priorities in the preparation of multiple projects on a timely basis.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in any other assigned duties, responsibilities and special projects as directed by immediate superior or determined on own initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Communicates externally with auditors, customers and vendors to ensure all transactions are recorded and there are no open issues.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper control and verification of all transaction and the recording of the same correctly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> If required, supervise accounts payable function <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Office based role which requires attention to detail and data management working under general supervision and where problems can be difficult but not complex.<\/li>\n<li>Based in Shipyard at the North area of Singapore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications and Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College degree\/Diploma (Accounting and\/or finance degree required), CA\/ ACCA\/CPA\/CIMA\/CMA qualifications preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Prior financial experience with Cost Control<\/li>\n<li>Excellent English verbal and written communications skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><center><b><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.careerjet.sg\/jobad\/sg610901834a099286dc22a0f3d3757f31?affid=0852fd5db5a52cbcd75bf945aa534932\" class=\"button purchase\" target=\"_blank\">Apply Now<\/a> <\/b><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the job Cost Controller Responsible for various financial tasks and analysis in relation to Ship Conversion \/ Profit centers and Legal entities.
