The team maintains a center of excellence for SW and platform technology and related innovation, translating market needs into products and services to enable market development and ensure they are constantly pushing the boundaries of satellite based services.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We are looking for a senior engineers in our product team who can design, write, and deliver software services to our commercial aircraft and maritime vessels.<br \/><b>The day-to-day<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>As a member of this team, you will influence new designs, architectures, and methods for large-scale distributed systems. As part of our DevOps model, you will develop the service and own it from cradle to grave.<br \/><b>What you&#8217;ll need<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of experience with good knowledge of computer science fundamentals<\/li>\n<li>Strong working knowledge on Python. GoLang Preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Working experience with networking products on Linux platform<\/li>\n<li>Experience with microservices development and integration.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Docker, Kubernetes container orchestration.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in developing RESTful services.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with cloud computing concepts like AWS<\/li>\n<li>Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.<\/li>\n<li>Broad range of technology interests across different disciplines including computer and system architecture, scalability, performance analysis, distributed systems design, and integration.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work on distributed remote agile teams with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. You will be required to communicate both verbally and in written form with remote international teams very frequently.<\/li>\n<li>Adopting the DevOps philosophy of product development, in addition to your design development activities you are also required to provide operational support of the post-production deployment.<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent technical background and experience.<\/li>\n<li>Travel Requirement: Up to 10%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> What will help you on the job<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with messaging middleware like RabbitMQ.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in designing and implementing automated software component and integration tests.<\/li>\n<li>Continuous Integration &#038; Deployment (CI\/CD) training or experience.<\/li>\n<li>Prior working experience in a DevOps team is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> #LI-Hybrid<br \/>\n       EEO Statement<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Viasat is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, seeking to create a welcoming and diverse environment.
