You lecture people about DRY, and you can talk at length about git branching strategies and secrets management. You likely know more than one cloud and be able to bring experience in networking, software, and SRE to our cloud estate &#8211; starting as always with the code. Whatever your role at ANZ, you&#8217;ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Role Type:Permanent<br \/>\n       Role Location:Bengaluru<span class=\"br\"><\/span>What will your day look like?<span class=\"br\"><\/span>As a Senior AWS Engineer within the Cloud Platform Tech Area, you will be responsible for building and running the cloud platforms for one of Australia&#8217;s largest financial institutions. Don&#8217;t let that scare you though, we&#8217;re doing things differently for the cloud.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>You will lead\/inspire and mentor other engineers within your team. You not only code solutions but are at home influencing and taking others on the journey to implementation.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>You will relentlessly automate all the things and apply best practices in CI\/CD and infrastructure automation<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Work in a collaborative team to explore business initiatives and solutions<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Build infrastructure using code and follow software engineering best practices<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Utilise knowledge of distributed system design including cloud scalability, communication integration, database, and storage<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Challenge the status quo, whilst always looking for opportunities for continuous improvement<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Forget the suit stereotype &#8211; we encourage you to dress for your day<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>What will you bring?<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience building and operating Cloud technology at scale, using AWS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Comfortable coding in one or more languages (bash, JavaScript, Golang, Python, Powershell, etc), and you use these skills to automate as much as possible * Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation, along with continuous integration\/delivery tooling such as Bitbucket\/GitHub, Google Cloud Build\/CodeFresh\/Jenkins, etc. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive experience working within cross-functional, agile or continuous delivery teams<\/li>\n<li>A growth mindset and desire to continually learn and share new techniques and ideas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> You&#8217;re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
