All Belong Here.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>At Medallia, we hire the whole person.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The Role and Team<span class=\"br\"><\/span>As part of Medallia\u2019s Cloud Engineering Team, Core Infrastructure thrives on collaboration, mutual support, openness to new ideas, and solving problems at a deep, systemic level.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>This team is responsible for building and maintaining large distributed components that run Medallia\u2019s cloud. Our code serves millions of requests per second and does so with sub-second latency and fault tolerance. We handle everything from scale: compute, data storage, to synchronization and coordination of large server clusters, to providing a runtime environment for all Medallia\u2019s applications.<br \/>\n       We are looking for candidates who share a passion for tackling complexity and building platforms that can scale through multiple orders of magnitude.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>This role is based remotely in Pune. Candidates for this position are required to reside within the Pune metropolitan area. Relocation support is not available at this time.<br \/><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design code and operate core backend software components to manage Infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>Build automation to enable the cloud to be automatically maintainable.<\/li>\n<li>Code primarily using Golang, Python, Java<\/li>\n<li>Interface with application development teams to incorporate requirements<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with other engineering teams to eliminate technical debt.<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot complex problems that may span the full service stack.<\/li>\n<li>Deploy and update applications within our systems foundation (compute, storage, network, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Operate our large scale Kubernetes Clusters in both Clouds and Colocation data centers.<\/li>\n<li>Proactively monitor and manage the availability of infrastructure and applications.<\/li>\n<li>Be a part of the Cloud Infrastructure team on-call rotation for escalations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of software development experience in Python, Go, and\/or Java.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of the Linux operating system.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to work collaboratively across and within teams.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Docker containers<\/li>\n<li>Experience designing distributed systems is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Experience operating a SaaS platform as an Ops or DevOps engineer is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Postgres, AWS, K8s, Zookeeper, and Ceph is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Preferred Qualifications * Strong communication skills <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with:<\/li>\n<li>Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> At Medallia, we celebrate diversity and recognize the value it brings to our customers and employees.
