The Distributed Cloud Business Unit at F5 is looking for a Software Engineer-II with experience in designing and developing distributed solutions. On our team, you will participate in the design and development of the data path modules of our distributed cloud offering, to deliver secure, fast and reliable solutions to anyone, anywhere, at any time.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Position Summary<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>The Distributed Cloud Team is looking for a technically strong Engineer who can work on our data path solutions in the lifecycle development of a multi cloud distributed platform. Experience with data path at L3\/L4 or L7, Cloud services, Orchestration, Security are highly desirable.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Professional Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s and\/or Master&#8217;s degree in Computer Science Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>2 to 5 years of experience in software design and development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Knowledge, Skills:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Experience in designing and developing distributed software.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Good understanding of computer networking (routing\/switching) concepts, network security, HTTP Loadbalancers, proxies like Envoy\/Nginx etc. Experience working in any L2\/L3 or L7 products.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Extensive experience with programming languages like Golang, C\/C++.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Good understanding of Virtualization technologies like KVM, Docker.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Working knowledge of Cloud orchestration systems such as Openstack\/Kubernetes.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Experience working on well-known clouds like AWS\/Azure\/GCP would be a plus.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Strong interpersonal, team building, and mentoring skills.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Responsibilities<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>New feature design and development<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Writing unit tests to cover the feature<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Feature ownership and assisting the support team on customer issues<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Analysis and debugging of issues reported<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Proactively identifying and resolving key technical issues<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Efficiently communicate\/collaborate internally at F5.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
