Unleash your talent and redefine what\u2019s possible.<\/span>Job Description:<\/b><\/span>Senior Drainage Engineer (Design)<\/span>Dubai, UAE<\/span>Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Drainage Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. You will apply advanced engineering techniques and analyses which may involve CAE (computer aided engineering)\/CAD (computer aided design) applications.<\/span>What You\u2019ll Be Doing:<\/span>Civil and Transport infrastructure drainage design.<\/span>Detailed analysis and review of hydrological and hydraulic models.<\/span>Provide technical design expertise for drainage and stormwater quality systems, including piped networks and major transverse drainage structures. Embrace and promote a leading digital work environment and delivery culture.<\/span>Hydraulic and System design of the complex environment to meet site-specific requirements.<\/span>Applying knowledge and experience of the biological and physical process of stormwater management.<\/span>Applying innovative ideas, technology, and value engineering solutions.<\/span>Supervision\/Mentoring and support to intermediate and junior engineers.<\/span>Undertake hydrologic modeling, calculations, drawings, report writing, design review, and supervision.<\/span>Leading the projects, taking a high level of responsibility, building a strong relationship with clients, and obtaining design approvals. Coordinating with the CAD \/ BIM \/ 3-D modeling teams on projects.<\/span>What Required Skills You\u2019ll Bring:<\/span>Bachelor’s degree in Civil \/ Environmental\/ Hydrology and or Water Engineering.<\/span>Minimum 8 years experience in water engineering, including stormwater drainage design in civil and transport projects, stormwater management, and planning.<\/span>Minimum 6 years of UAE\/ GCC experience is essential and familiar with the Dubai Municipality design standards.<\/span>Sound knowledge of principles of hydrology and hydraulics.<\/span>Demonstrated understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling\/design software packages used in the design of surface drainage, piped networks, cross drainage, and flood analysis, i.e., CAD skills, SWMM, HEC RAS, and HEC-HMS knowledge.<\/span>Experience with Infoworks ICM, 1D\/2D is compulsory.<\/span>Excellent command with GIS and CAD tools such as ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation.<\/span>The capability of mathematics to create calculation sheets and perform further calculations where required to ensure the design is appropriate.<\/span>Knowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS).<\/span>Chartered Engineer (CEng) qualified (or equivalent) or well-progressed towards qualification.<\/span>Independently perform complex storm\/groundwater network layout design; and network\/pump station hydraulic modelling, efficiently and accurately.<\/span>Ability to produce high-quality Plan and profile drawings.<\/span>Ability to independently prepare drainage design reports.<\/span>Proficiency in utilizing Bentley StormCAD, SewerGEMS, InfoDrainage, Civil 3D and InfoWorks ICM, for design, analysis and production of storm sewer hydraulic models and drawings.<\/span>InfoWorks 2D Modelling, InfoWorks Model Build Report (MBR) preparation and ArcGIS experience are a plus.<\/span>What Desired Skills you will bring:<\/span>Master’s Degree in Water Engineering\/Hydrology would be an advantage.<\/span>Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and encourage collaboration.<\/span>Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results within the project timeline.<\/span>Experience in UAE and Middle East is a plus.<\/span>Strong verbal and written communication skills.<\/span>Excellent organizational skills.<\/span>A collegiate, team-player attitude.<\/span>Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.<\/span>We truly invest and care about our employee\u2019s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
