{"id":170621,"date":"2026-04-02T03:33:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T03:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/were-hiring-operation-and-maintenance-director-south-sharquiyah\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T03:33:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T03:33:08","slug":"were-hiring-operation-and-maintenance-director-south-sharquiyah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whitehattoolbox.com\/jobs\/were-hiring-operation-and-maintenance-director-south-sharquiyah\/","title":{"rendered":"We\u2019re Hiring Operation and Maintenance Director (South Sharquiyah )"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Job Description :<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Role Purpose:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Lead the Operations &#038; Maintenance of water and wastewater services across Cluster 1 (Muscat, Sharqiyah North and Sharqiyah South), ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality service delivery across the full value chain.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Drive operational performance, asset reliability, and continuous improvement, while managing a large organization and optimizing outsourced service delivery, in close coordination with NAMA entities managing other clusters and cross-functional activities.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operations: Oversee O&#038;M of plants, networks, pumping and storage; ensure service continuity and compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure \/ facilitate the implementation of performance &#038; transformation plans (NRW, Energy, etc. ) in collaboration with the technical &#038; performance department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Asset Management: Implement maintenance strategies and support asset lifecycle optimization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Contractors: Manage outsourced activities, ensuring performance, quality of work, and cost control; assess in sourcing opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>NRW: Contribute to NRW and efficiency programs with Technical Direction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Leadership: Lead and develop a large organization (<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> 350 staff)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interfaces: Proactively coordinate with NAMA) and central functions (technical, planning, customer, etc.) and relevant external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Governance: Ensure QHSE compliance, risk management, and emergency preparedness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Expected Outcomes:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reliable and continuous water &#038; wastewater services across Cluster 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong operational performance and asset reliability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Effective coordination with NAMA central functions and other clusters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>High performance of contracted activities and optimised delivery model<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Effective NRW contribution (with Technical Direction)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Engaged and high-performing workforce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSC in Engineering degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>12+ years in water\/wastewater operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience managing large O&#038;M activities, contractors and teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong capability in complex organizational interfaces (multi-entity environments)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven leadership in operational and performance-driven environments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><center><b><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.careerjet.com.om\/jobad\/om13001f16d7ee919321d5cd6af46e5ea5?affid=1e18623d919a855447a16dd0557b1bec\" class=\"button purchase\" target=\"_blank\">Apply Now<\/a> <\/b><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description : Role Purpose: Lead the Operations &amp; Maintenance of water and wastewater services across Cluster 1 (Muscat, Sharqiyah North and Sharqiyah South), ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality service delivery across the full value chain.
