That&#8217;s why we created the Security Officer &#8211; Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Pay Rate: $26.10 \/ Hour<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Job Schedule: DayTimeTue03:30 PM &#8211; 11:00 PM<span class=\"br\"><\/span>How This Role Works: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed-Shift Commitment (\u201cAnchor Shifts&#8221;): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.<\/li>\n<li>Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It&#8217;s all up to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and\/or emergency response activities at an educational government location.<\/li>\n<li>Respond to incidents, disturbances, and\/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and\/or public responders as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter areas to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and\/or potential policy violations.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and restricted areas while following post orders for access control, credential checks, and\/or escorts in support of daily site operations.<\/li>\n<li>Carry authorized defensive equipment in accordance with applicable laws, site requirements, and Allied Universal policies, and help to support a professional presence during patrols and response activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Minimum Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An armed guard card and\/or license is required.<\/li>\n<li>Handcuffing certification is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Pepper spray certification is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Baton certification is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>CPR certification is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.<\/li>\n<li>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.<\/li>\n<li>Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.<\/li>\n<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in industry-specific security training programs.<\/li>\n<li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and\/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver&#8217;s license will be required for driving positions only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Why Join Us:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.<\/li>\n<li>Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.<\/li>\n<li>Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Closing<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Allied Universal\u00ae is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
