As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital\/Analog\/RF\/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and\/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Electrical\/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> OR<br \/>\n       Master&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Electrical\/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.<br \/>\n       OR<br \/>\n       PhD in Computer Science, Electrical\/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>We are looking for a digital hardware engineer who will be part of a cross functional team consisting of various disciplines to develop cutting edge products for internal Qualcomm and external customers.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The position is for a digital hardware design engineer, whose tasks include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Requirements definition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical design analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Schematic capture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>PCB design overview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Lab bring up, test and debug<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Design documentation management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> .<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The successful candidate will work closely with a project lead, HW, SW, CAD, Mechanical, Component Engineering, and Manufacturing resources.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>The successful candidate will have a strong interest in circuit card level design and test, enjoy working in a lab environment, be proactive, and have a hands-on approach to work assignments. Candidates must have great interest in new technologies and willing to learn.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, and the candidate must be able to work well with others in a technical environment. Frequent interfacing with team members in US will be required. The candidate must be able to travel abroad. The ability to work independently and strong problem-solving skills are expected.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Minimum Qualifications<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>B.E\/B.Tech. with industry experience in the following areas:<span class=\"br\"><\/span>1+ years hardware design experience, preferably with baseband processors, FPGAs, high speed<span class=\"br\"><\/span>1+ years of experience in digital hardware design.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Solid understanding of electrical engineering and circuit fundamentals. Strong knowledge of digital design.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Able to work independently.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Strong lab skills and experience with standard lab equipment.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Preferred Qualifications<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>3 or more years\u2019 experience in a hardware design role<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Strong knowledge of both digital and analog design<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Video and audio experience .<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Knowledge of transmission lines, cross talk, decoupling, and layout of high-performance digital circuits.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Design experience with some or all of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FPGA and CPLD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>DSPs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>microprocessors,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Flash\/DDR memory,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>LCD&#8217;s,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Battery charging,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>voltage regulators,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>camera sensors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>ADC\/DACs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Embedded programming skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>RTL programming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Excellent communications skills, oral and written.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Education Requirements<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Required: B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering \/ Electronics and Communication or equivalent.
