\n We are seeking a highly skilled Node.js Tech Lead to drive the technical architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, cloud-native backend systems. This role combines deep hands-on expertise with technical leadership, ownership, and mentorship.
\n As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for end-to-end backend architecture, technical decision-making, engineering best practices, and guiding teams to deliver secure, high-performance systems. You will also leverage modern AI-assisted development accelerators to enhance productivity and innovation while ensuring engineering rigor and quality.<\/span>Key Responsibilities:<\/b>
\n Technical Leadership & Ownership
\n \u25cf Own end-to-end backend architecture and technical design for assigned projects or products.
\n \u25cf Define scalable microservices-based architectures and distributed system design patterns.
\n \u25cf Act as the technical decision authority and provide solution sign-off.
\n \u25cf Drive technical roadmap planning aligned with business goals.
\n \u25cf Identify and mitigate technical risks across delivery lifecycle.
\n \u25cf Serve as the technical escalation point for production issues and performance challenges.<\/span>Architecture & Development
\n \u25cf Design and develop scalable backend systems using Node.js (JavaScript \/ TypeScript).
\n \u25cf Work with frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
\n \u25cf Build secure, production-grade RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.
\n \u25cf Architect asynchronous processing, caching strategies, and message-driven systems.
\n \u25cf Ensure high availability, scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization.<\/span>Cloud & DevOps Engineering
\n \u25cf Design and deploy containerized applications using Docker.
\n \u25cf Orchestrate workloads using Kubernetes.
\n \u25cf Leverage cloud-native services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
\n \u25cf Define and maintain CI\/CD pipelines.
\n \u25cf Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform \/ CloudFormation \/ Pulumi.
\n \u25cf Ensure observability, logging, monitoring, and production readiness.<\/span>AI-Enabled Engineering
\n \u25cf Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, AI-based testing and analysis tools) responsibly to improve engineering productivity.
\n \u25cf Validate AI-generated code for correctness, performance, and security.
\n \u25cf Design and integrate AI-powered backend features such as LLM-based services, intelligent APIs, RAG workflows, or automation services when required.<\/span>Quality & Governance
\n \u25cf Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce engineering standards.
\n \u25cf Establish backend best practices covering security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
\n \u25cf Ensure strong authentication and authorization implementation (OAuth2, JWT).
\n \u25cf Promote automated testing and code quality practices.<\/span>Team Leadership & Collaboration
\n \u25cf Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers.
\n \u25cf Support sprint planning, estimation, and backlog grooming from a technical perspective.
\n \u25cf Collaborate closely with product, frontend, DevOps teams, and stakeholders.
\n \u25cf Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.<\/span>Required Skills:<\/b>
\n \u25cf 7+ years of strong experience in Node.js (JavaScript \/ TypeScript).
\n \u25cf Proficiency in backend frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
\n \u25cf Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
\n \u25cf Expertise in REST APIs, async programming, background workers, and event-driven design.
\n \u25cf Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
\n \u25cf Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
\n \u25cf Cloud experience in AWS \/ Azure \/ GCP.
\n \u25cf Practical experience using AI-assisted code accelerators such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT,<\/span>AIbased linting\/testing tools, or similar developer productivity platforms.
\n \u25cf Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization (OAuth2, JWT), and API security.
\n \u25cf Experience building scalable, high-availability systems.
\n \u25cf Working knowledge of CI\/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
\n \u25cf Solid in Design principles and Best practices – Scalability, Maintainability, Security and
\n Performance optimizations.
\n \u25cf Agile mindset and familiarity with Jira, Git, GitHub\/GitLab, Azure DevOps.<\/span>Good to Have:<\/b>
\n \u25cf Experience integrating AI\/LLM services (OpenAI APIs, RAG workflows, vector search).
\n \u25cf Exposure to event streaming platforms like Kafka.
\n \u25cf Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, ChromaDB).
\n \u25cf Experience mentoring teams in a services delivery environment.
\n \u25cf Contribution to open-source backend or AI-integrated projects.<\/p>\n
