This role focuses on hands-on analytical, modeling, and engineering work, translating business and product objectives into high\u2011quality technical deliverables. Pod Members collaborate closely with the Data Science Pod Lead, AI Product Owner, AI Architects, and engineering partners to deliver measurable value while adhering to enterprise standards and Responsible AI principles.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Role Definition<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Responsibilities<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Data Science &#038; Solution Development <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, build, test, and iterate on data science, machine learning, and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions aligned to pod objectives, including LLM\u2011based systems, retrieval\u2011augmented generation (RAG), agents, and multimodal use cases.<\/li>\n<li>Perform data exploration, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and validation, including GenAI\u2011specific evaluation (e.g., groundedness, hallucination risk, latency, cost, and quality metrics).<\/li>\n<li>Implement solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture, data, and engineering standards, with explicit consideration for GenAI safety, security, and Responsible AI controls (prompt management, guardrails, data provenance, and access controls).<\/li>\n<li>Contribute production\u2011ready code, notebooks, pipelines, and model artifacts, including prompts, system instructions, evaluation harnesses, and GenAI configuration assets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Delivery &#038; Execution <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute assigned work items to meet sprint and increment commitments aligned to the product roadmap.<\/li>\n<li>Balance experimentation with delivery, supporting the transition from proof\u2011of\u2011concept to production.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and communicate technical risks, assumptions, data limitations, and trade\u2011offs to the Pod Lead.<\/li>\n<li>Support operational readiness through testing, documentation, and handover activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Collaboration &#038; Ways of Working <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with the Data Science Pod Lead to align technical work with pod\u2011level direction and priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with AI Product Owners to understand business problems, success metrics, and value hypotheses.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with platform, data engineering, MLOps, and software engineering teams.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate analytical findings, model behavior, and recommendations to both technical and non\u2011technical stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Quality, Governance &#038; Responsible AI <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure models and analytics meet quality, performance, security, reliability, and compliance standards.<\/li>\n<li>Apply Responsible AI principles throughout the solution lifecycle.<\/li>\n<li>Produce and maintain appropriate technical documentation, experiments, and traceability artifacts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Continuous Improvement &#038; Innovation <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay current with advances in data science, ML, and Generative AI techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute ideas to improve tools, processes, and reusable assets across the data science practice.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in communities of practice, knowledge sharing, and peer reviews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Degree Requirement<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
