We are looking for a Senior Android Developer who can create custom applications. This position will be responsible for taking projects through the entire life cycle. You will tackle problems and resolve complex issues, while working in a distributed environment with a team of outstanding engineers.<\/span>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>Write well designed, efficient Kotlin code that works across devices.<\/span>Design and build modern Android user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.<\/span>Build scalable and maintainable architectures using MVVM \/ Clean Architecture principles<\/span>Use Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous and reactive programming<\/span>Build great looking screens in an Android environment<\/span>Support continuous improvement by staying up-to-date with the rapidly evolving mobile development world.<\/span>Implement modularized Android architectures for large-scale applications<\/span>Actively participate in client meetings.<\/span>Work independently on coding tasks and also provide support to more junior team members.<\/span>Should have good understanding of information security procedures (such as information security incident reporting) and baseline controls (such as password security, malware controls and clear desks).<\/span>Use modern development workflows including Git, CI\/CD pipelines, and automated builds<\/span>Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>The ideal candidate will have a 2- or 4-year degree in CS\/Engineering, be a bootcamp grad, or be self-taught with practical experience<\/span>5+ years of professional hands-on Android Development experience.<\/span>Built apps using Kotlin<\/span>Experience with Jetpack libraries such as ViewModel, LiveData\/Flow, Navigation, Room, and WorkManager<\/span>Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger<\/span>Familiarity with Android security best practices such as secure storage, certificate pinning, and data encryption<\/span>Alternatively, deep experience in Java development with drive to learn may be considered.<\/span>Alternatively, deep experience in Swift, Objective-C or React Native development with an eagerness to grow in a second platform may be considered.<\/span>Proficiency with Android SDK<\/span>Willingness to learn and work with React Native and other technologies beyond native Android development.<\/span>An understanding of design and the ability to fill gaps, for example if a design doesn\u2019t cover all screen sizes or if a design isn\u2019t consistent.<\/span>Strong communication and problem solving skills.<\/span>Ability and ambition to lead Android projects.<\/span>Worked with Agile development, preferably SCRUM.<\/span>Comfortable striving for full unit test coverage.<\/span>Should have good understanding of information security procedures (such as information security incident reporting) and baseline controls (such as password security, malware controls and clear desks).<\/p>\n
