With a 150-year heritage in delivering industry-leading sleep solutions, we own iconic brands including Serta\u00ae, Beautyrest\u00ae, Simmons\u00ae and Tuft &#038; Needle\u00ae.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Compensation:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>$90k\/Year &#8211; $120k\/Year<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Compensation is going to be based on experience, degrees and certificates.<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>What You&#8217;ll Do:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leads manufacturing production to ensure a quality product is produced safely, in time for delivery, and within budgeted costs.<\/li>\n<li>Drives ongoing Lean methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of performance, safety, and quality.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for safety of operators reporting to him\/her as well as any individual in his work area.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for product quality and adheres to processes and methods.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with ME, QE and KPO to ensure product quality standards are met or exceeded.<\/li>\n<li>Delivers outstanding performance in terms of (1) On time delivery (<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> 99.5%), and (2) efficiency (<br \/>\n       95%) by leading work groups and support personnel through problem solving processes as well as communicating and coordinating effectively with supply chain partners. * Holds daily production meetings and set expectations for the day. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinates with office staff to provide information on schedule delivery and product status.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain information for daily management reports and prepares various other reports as requested.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the cost effectiveness of the production process.<\/li>\n<li>Controls use of raw materials, preventing all unnecessary waste and schedules and controls utilization of labor, preventing excess hours, downtime and overtime.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and maintain lean processes, problem solving, Kaizen and other quality processes with support personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Escalate issues quickly that cannot be resolved efficiently to maintain performance, quality and safety standards.<\/li>\n<li>Lead &#038; motivate work teams in terms of developing their knowledge and ability while challenging and providing motivation to excel.<\/li>\n<li>Meet training and development objectives for all work team members in his\/her care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> How You&#8217;ll Do It:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Leadership Skills (Inspire, Impact, Innovate).<\/li>\n<li>Adapting to Change- Readily adapts to change and motivates personnel to take responsibility for adapting to and executing change.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical technical ability to problem solve.<\/li>\n<li>Planned and Organized Decision Making- makes empowered decision within their area with the best interest of the company in mind.<\/li>\n<li>Delivering Results Safety- Maintaining a high level of commitment to personally getting things done in their area.<\/li>\n<li>Quality &#038; Continuous Improvement Mindset- promoting and maintaining high standards of quality within their area.<\/li>\n<li>Team Player- Coordinates all team resources to accomplish goals and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Advises, assists, mentors and provides feedback to others to encourage and inspire the development of work-related competencies and long-term career growth.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communications skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.<\/li>\n<li>Living the SSB Mission &#038; Core Values.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What You&#8217;ll Bring:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3-5 years of supervisor experience in high mix, complex manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n<li>Lean Manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>Keizen<\/li>\n<li>Six Sigma<\/li>\n<li>TPM experinece<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Job Factors\/Work Environments<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work is active in nature, with frequent walking of manufacturing plant, warehouse and distribution.<\/li>\n<li>High degree of risk management in terms of safety around large and complex machinery, as well as heavy (up to 200lb) product while in production.<\/li>\n<li>Up to 10% travel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Why work at Serta Simmons Bedding?<span class=\"br\"><\/span>When you join SSB, you become part of a winning and diverse team that is excited and committed to helping people get better sleep.
