Selects and evaluates the performance of suppliers, oversees the customs clearing process and coordinates the processing of assigned customer orders<span class=\"br\"><\/span><b>Job responsibilities:<\/b><span class=\"br\"><\/span>Process purchase requisitions \/ orders within purchasing authority<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Invite, assess, and award\/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions, and maintain supplier relationships<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports and price lists.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>Work with management and department heads to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u00a7 Assist in the development of specifications for equipment, materials, and services to be purchased<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u00a7 Administer contract performance, including delivery,receipt, warranty, damages and insurance.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u00a7 Reconcile or resolve value discrepancies.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u00a7 Comply with and maintain knowledge of applicable rules, legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices<span class=\"br\"><\/span>\u00a7 Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management.<span class=\"br\"><\/span>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Basic level qualification is essential Previous experience as a Procurement Officer, or similar role Computer literacy qualification is essential.
