The Transport Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing transport<\/span>operations within NEOM, ensuring that all activities meet the highest standards in safety,<\/span>efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of<\/span>cargo handling and transportation industry standards, technical expertise in transport systems,<\/span>and the ability to lead and improve logistics processes in a high-stakes environment.<\/span>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>1. Cargo Loading and Offloading Operations<\/span>o Ensure all cargo loading and offloading activities are carried out safely,<\/span>efficiently, and according to NEOM\u2019s standards.<\/span>o Establish and enforce best practices in cargo handling to minimize risks and<\/span>optimize productivity.<\/span>o Conduct training and assessments for transport teams on correct loading and<\/span>unloading procedures to maintain a high level of skill and safety.<\/span>2. Industry Standards and Regulatory Compliance<\/span>o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation regulations, industry standards,<\/span>and best practices, ensuring that all transport operations within NEOM, meets<\/span>compliance requirements.<\/span>o Conduct periodic audits and safety checks to ensure that vehicles, equipment, and<\/span>personnel comply with both local and international transportation regulations.<\/span>o Implement quality control processes and continuous improvement programs to<\/span>elevate operational standards.<\/span>3. Proficiency in Systems and Software<\/span>o Utilize Microsoft Office Suite effectively for advanced reporting, data analysis,<\/span>and project planning.<\/span>o Demonstrate expertise in transportation management systems (TMS), vehicle<\/span>tracking systems, and other logistics software to streamline operations, monitor<\/span>vehicle performance, and improve transport scheduling.<\/span>o Leverage data analysis tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and<\/span>generate insights for decision-making and process improvements.<\/span>4. Team Leadership and Training<\/span>o Provide leadership and direction to transport teams, ensuring high performance,<\/span>motivation, and adherence to established policies.<\/span>o Develop and conduct regular training programs for transport personnel to ensure<\/span>proficiency in cargo handling, regulatory compliance, and software use.<\/span>o Foster a safety-first culture by organizing workshops, drills, and awareness<\/span>sessions around safe transport practices and accident prevention.<\/span>5. Operational Efficiency and Optimization<\/span>o Identify and implement opportunities to improve transport workflows, including<\/span>route optimization, load consolidation, and resource allocation, to reduce costs<\/span>and increase efficiency.<\/span>o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as logistics, safety, and project<\/span>planning departments, to ensure seamless coordination and integration of<\/span>transport operations.<\/span>o Lead troubleshooting efforts for operational issues, providing root cause analysis<\/span>and implementing corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.<\/span>6. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting<\/span>o Serve as the primary point of contact with NEOM\u2019s project logistics team and<\/span>QHSE department, ensuring aligned standards and effective communication of<\/span>transport-related issues.<\/span>o Prepare and present reports on transport activities, performance metrics, and<\/span>compliance status for internal and external stakeholders.<\/span>o Work closely with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to manage transportation<\/span>resources and resolve logistical challenges.<\/span>7. Sustainability and Environmental Practices<\/span>o Integrate sustainable practices into transport operations, including fuel efficiency,<\/span>emissions reduction, and waste management initiatives, in line with NEOM\u2019s<\/span>sustainability goals.<\/span>o Evaluate and recommend environmentally friendly technologies and practices that<\/span>can be adopted within the transport network.
