The Global Center in India will play a significant role in the transformation journey at 7-Eleven by building products that support business activities at each of our convenience stores.<\/span>Job Description<\/b><\/span>About This Opportunity<\/b><\/span>7-Eleven is looking for a great Java Developer to be a part of an amazing transformation in how we operate our stores and become part of our Fuel Team and imbibe with the culture. Youre joining a multidisciplinary team of product managers and engineers who create and maintain a frictionless dispenser experience to thousands of customers who use 7-Eleven for their fueling needs. You will be actively participating in designing, developing, testing and deploying code to drive our digital products.<\/span>Your primary focus will be developing applications using Java to manage an IoT based event driven system using technologies like AWS IoT, Spring state machine, Spring Boot, REST, JSON, Kubernetes, Docker, NoSql databases and Git\/Github\/Gitlab. You will be utilizing AWS services such as Cloud Formation Templates, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway(Apigee), and many more. You will ensure that the components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure and participate in team design sessions and scrum\/agile ceremonies.<\/span>Must Have Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.<\/span>Minimum 3+ years of experience with development using Java, Spring, Spring boot frameworks.<\/span>Minimum 1+ years experience in relational or non-relational database management systems.<\/span>Minimum 1+ years experience with Unit and Integration testing with Junit, Selenium, Cucumber JS unit testing library (Jest, Mocha).<\/span>Understanding of MVC \/ MVVM \/ MVP structure and development patterns.<\/span>Excellent written and verbal communications skills.<\/span>Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.<\/span>Good to Have:<\/b><\/span>Exposure to development of large microservice-based architectures, container orchestration frameworks: Kubernetes\/Amazon EKS<\/span>Good experience with API development using Java and MongoDB.<\/span>Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tools.<\/span>Familiarity with code versioning Git (Gitlab).<\/span>Familiarity with backlog management tools like JIRA.<\/p>\n
