The
\n Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a centre of excellence for SiriusXM\u2019s global Product and Technology organization.<\/span>SiriusXM\u2019s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM\u2019s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.<\/span>How you\u2019ll make an impact:<\/span>Software Engineer III will be responsible for maintenance and new feature development of 360L SiriusXM application running on Android, Linux, and Windows platforms and used by internal SiriusXM for UI\/UX trials written in C++ \/ Qt Framework. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of participating in an embedded SW development team, designing, implementing, and testing sophisticated software architectures, and will have been directly responsible for developing software.<\/span>What you will do:<\/b><\/span>Assist in the design, documentation, and implementation of application software to bring SAT and IP streaming audio, data and advanced user interfaces to our customers.<\/span>Support the full software development lifecycle from initial feature definition through software release and in-field customer support.<\/span>Perform analysis of internal and third-party product requirements and specifications, understanding of software framework architectures and designs to meet internal and external customer needs.<\/span>Participate in software design and review sessions with the software team and other stakeholders.<\/span>Author software application notes, programming manuals, and training materials for distribution and presentation to Sirius XM partners.<\/span>Author software components, ensuring they meet functional and quality requirements.<\/span>Utilize best practices in implementing software deliverables.<\/span>Assist in supporting end-users of the software deliverables, providing support as needed.<\/span>Perform special projects, lab\/field testing, and other duties as necessary.<\/span>Assist in the development of user interface software specifications and software for SiriusXM Radio receiver products.<\/span>Provide regular and accurate reports to the Senior Manager \u2013 OEM Validation and perform special projects, lab\/field testing, and other duties as necessary.<\/span>What you will need:<\/b><\/span>BS Software Engineering or equivalent experience required. Masters Software Engineering is desired.<\/span>3 or more years software, framework and application development for one or more of the following embedded consumer, streaming devices, medical devices, industrial automation,<\/span>Client and Server, automotive products, web, mobile services (Android, iOS)<\/span>Experience in one or more of the following Operating Systems; SELinux \/ Linux, QNX, Android, iOS, Unix like, Windows or embedded rtos.<\/span>Experience in a variety of programming languages\/frameworks across the stack including one or more of C\/C++, Rust, Java, React Native, javascript, JSON, QT\/QML, Flutter, Typescript, Python<\/span>Experience in participating in formal documentation and source code reviews, providing relevant and insightful feedback to team members<\/span>Familiarity using advanced software development environments (IDE, compilers, operating systems, source management tools, CI\/CD, and test tools)<\/span>Familiarity of formal software design and agile processes<\/span>Familiarity with configuration management and defect tracking tools (GitHub, Jira)<\/span>Familiarity with unit testing best practices<\/span>Knowledge in object-oriented methodologies, and system software design concepts<\/span>Good public speaking and presentation skills.<\/span>Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.<\/span>Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<\/span>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/span>Ability to work independently and in a team environment.<\/span>Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.<\/span>Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.<\/span>Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.<\/span>Commitment to \u201cinternal client\u201d and customer service principles.<\/span>Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.<\/span>What is a plus:<\/span>Knowledge of real-time software with the ability to clearly articulate complex system requirements, and design considerations.<\/span>Knowledge of REST HTTP protocols<\/span>Experience with one or more of the following protocols BLE, WiFi, CAN, LIN, or Ethernet.<\/span>Our goal at SiriusXM is to provide and maintain a work environment that fosters mutual respect, professionalism and cooperation.
