UPCI Cancer Services seeks Radiation Oncologists (Multiple Openings) in Altoona, PA to determine the best therapy technique to prescribe for destroying cancer cells in a patient while keeping normal tissue around the cancerous area healthy; use three-dimensional images to understand exactly where tumors are located so that the risks of side effects from radiation therapy can be limited and develop a treatment plan.<\/span>Job Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>– Determine the best therapy technique to prescribe for destroying cancer cells in a patient while keeping normal tissue around the cancerous area healthy;<\/span>– Use three-dimensional images to understand exactly where tumors are located so that the risks of side effects from radiation therapy can be limited and develop a treatment plan.<\/span>Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) or equivalent;<\/span>Must have completed residency in Radiation Oncology;<\/span>Board certified or board eligible for certification in Radiation Oncology by American Board of Radiology;<\/span>Must have valid unrestricted PA medical license or eligibility.<\/span>Onsite work required, some telecommuting permissible.<\/span>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer\/Disability\/Veteran<\/p>\n
